Cumberland Falls State Resort Park, Corbin, Kentucky

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The word here is "Tight". The RV sites are 90 degree to the small road and is almost impossible to maneuver a trailer. This is a camp that needs to be reworked to allow larger vehicles. The camp hosts are very helpful in selecting a spot the you can get into. We had to park parallel to the road across the camp site as we could not back into the site. There is also a fairly steep hill into and out of the park. The trees are low and need trimming. Water and electrical were good. Did I suggest using a tent. We would not come back with our 24 foot 5th wheel. The park is a great hiking park. We camped at Cumberland Falls State Resort Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Boonesborough State Park, Richmond, Kentucky

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Just need to add to previous review comments. They do sell internet hook ups.$3.50 per day. The water hookups are a distance and you will need a long hose. Don't miss going to the fort. There is also a well stocked store. We camped at Fort Boonesborough State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga, Rossville, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $8.00
Overall Rating:

The expectations of previous reviews were very clean. Most of the sites are long pull throughs. Most sites have two sewer hookups so that you willdon't have to use extensions. The power and water are located at the rear.We did not get assistance to escort us to the site, but the service at the deak was very good. They have a very well stocked store with food and household items. They have a large assortment of RV parts. The rate reflects a $25 Good Sam coupon and a Sam Club discount. Normal price is $37.50 We will besure to stop here if we come this way again. We camped at Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Tobesofkee Claystone Park, Macon, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is a county park with all one could expect from a county managed facility. Security, maintenance, frisbee golf, swim beach, boating, lots of kids. While CATV hook up is available, we did not use. The beach is raked often and is in very good condition. The water is tested weekly for bacteria. The sites are paved asphalt and the tables are metal and plastic coated. Most of the sites appear to be sloped front to rear and you will need to adjust side to side. We were on site #5 and I needed to add an inch elevation on my side. The park is close to town and shopping. We will stay here again. It is busy on weekends, but during the week there are walk up spaces available. We camped at Lake Tobesofkee Claystone Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Twin Oaks RV Park & Campground, Elko, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

As previous writers have said, nice park. The sites are gravel and there is a little dust. Staff escorts you to your site and assists to get the best setup. There are several full timers in the park, but they are in the rear. Pull throughs are in front near office and will handle a large rig without unhooking tow.Showers are tile and very clean. Only draw back is the big truck traffic in early morning. Trash is picked up at site. Will stay here next time through the area. We camped at Twin Oaks RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park, White Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of our favorite Florida State parks. The park closed for a week after we stayed in order to get ready for a "Cultural Week end". This is an annual June event and is well worth traveling to see. Unfortunately only vendors, workers and performers get to camp in the park that week. The campground is away from the busy activity at the Cultural center and is very quiet at night. The showers are clean and there is plenty of hot water. The spaces are easy to get into and suitable for both large and small RVs. You can have a tent on the site with your RV. We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

St. John's RV Park, St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2011 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects PA. We had site A6 which allowed our TV & 26 ft FW to just fit. I was unable to hook up sewer, but was only there for three nights and dumped when we left. They do have a small lake on the property where you can fish from a covered patio. Our site was gravel and was level both side to side and front to rear. There was road noise but not to bad. There were 20 sites for transients with services. The other sites were for long term renters. If you arrive late, there is space in an open field where you can dry camp. We would stay here again if visiting Saint Augustine. We camped at St. John's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park, Micanopy, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Just want to reaffirm previous reviews and stress that this park has the cleanest and best maintained bath houses for a state park that I have used. Nice mornings, "Hot" PM's. We will be back to stay for a few days in the fall. Rates reflect senior Florida resident. We camped at Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Jay Bird Springs Ministries, Chauncey, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This is a Church Retreat in south central Georgia. Our stay was free as we were part of a volunteer group to do maintenance work preparing for summer youth camp. They are always looking for free help and allow you to stay in the 27 site full hook up RV park while helping. They also have cabins and dinning facilities. The best part is the 70 degree mineral spring and water park. You don't have to work everyday so you can do sightseeing while there. We camped at Jay Bird Springs Ministries in a Fifth Wheel.

Coe Landing, Tallahassee, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

The previous reviews detail most of the data about the park. It would be a great park if they would trim the trees and renovate the bathrooms / showers. Before bringing a large RV into the park, I suggest that you call call ahead as there are only a few sites that a large motorhome could fit into. It is the lowest priced park in the area and is ideal if you like to fish. We would stay here again. I gave it a 6 because of the showers needing work. We camped at Coe Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

Azalea Acres RV Park, Robertsdale, Alabama

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

This park is about three years old. Managers are very helpful. Most sites are on grass with with small trees. Wi-Fi is very good. All sites have a picnic table and some sites have concrete pads to park rigs. They try to put overnighters on the concrete pads to ease setups. They have the cleanest bathrooms and laundry ($2.50 to wash) facilities I have seen in a long time. Easy on and off I-10 for an overnighter. They are within 25 miles of Mobile and its tourist attractions. Price reflects PA. We will stay here again. We camped at Azalea Acres RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

River View RV Park & Resort, Vidalia, Louisiana

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

When we stayed at the park, they were just reopening from the flood. We stayed in site 11 in the north end. The Wi-Fi was down as the tower was destroyed in the flood. The river walk was open along the river by the park. This is a nice park to stay in while in the Nachez area. The pool is the only family activity I saw, and it had not been reopened. Access to the park is clearly marked on US84 from the west. We would stay here again. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Downtown Riverside RV Park, North Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects PA. PA campers are placed in the back or along the fence with no sewer. There is no shade except for a couple of trees along the river. Park has a nice night time view of the city. I agree with most of the previous positive postings. Management is very helpful with local information and tips to make the most of your stop. The electric tram is a nice way to get your bearings in visiting the various museums as they have drivers who give a brief talk as you pass the sights. We will stay here if we pass through again. The noise from the interstate can be heard in the early mornings as it cools off and the A/C shuts down and the morning traffic picks up. Remember the park is located almost under an interstate bridge We camped at Downtown Riverside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Indian Point COE, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed three nights here with Golden Age pass. We had space #6 which over looked the Marina. It is about 6 miles from SR 76 where most of the shows are located. When we left on a Sunday morning we had very little traffic on SR 76. If coming from north on US65 in afternoon, suggest using Sheperd of the Hills Blvd. to bypass SR 76. The campgrounds are well maintained and the hosts are helpful and friendly. You are allowed to use fallen wood for fires, which is different than most Fed parks. The toilets near our site were under repair when we were here. We would stay here again. We camped at Indian Point COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Lakeside RV Park, Sallisaw, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice overnight campground. The park has new owners and they are adding more 50 amp sites for pull through overnighters. It is away from the Interstate and the road traffic on 59 is very quiet at night. There is a nearby drag strip that can be heard until about 10 PM. We will stay here again when passing through. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
