Brunswick Beaches Camping Resort, Sunset Beach, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Nice shady campground. Very friendly staff and enjoyed my stay. LIke the fact you can go on line and pick out your camping spot. Some great restaurants nearby also if you decided not to cook. Pool was great, clean and taken care of. Friendly campers also in the campground. Need to find the garbage cans. Only had one near where my site, and it was full. Did not take the time to look for others. Maybe should mark those on the map: would be good. Would definitely stay again if I go up to that area. St. Augustine Beach KOA, St Augustine Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

I decided to try this park out since I live and Jacksonville and have to work in St. Augustine 6-7 weekends a year. First the check-in staff was very unfriendly and 2nd since my job requires me to be there till noon on Sunday I needed to have a 2 hour late checkout. The staff person said that "she" did not allow any extensions for late checkout. I asked if I could pay a half day - answer "she" did not allow this either as was busy season. Since I was there I had to pay an extra night just to stay two hours. While I understand "busy" season most people checked in around 3 or 4 and I was long gone by then and it was a Sunday. When I left there were at least 8 or more spot available. Personally I will never stay there or recommend this camp ground - obviously repeat customers they are not concerned about and I would have been there during the "Not so busy season". Thank goodness there are other campground nearby way more friendly and actually like repeat local customers. We camped at St. Augustine Beach KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2010 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

Great place to stay. Always clean and lots of things to do. Very friendly staff - Disney definitely has this down and lots of amenities. You can travel all over the park by bus, and downtown disney. Also, if you are not in the mood to cook, Fort Wilderness has one of the only restaurants - (buffet) that you do not have to make a reservation and also has a cocktail lounge. You can also see the fireworks from the lake and do not have to be in the crowds at the resort to see them. One of my favorite places to camp. Oak Hollow Family Campground, High Point, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

I have stayed here many time and always such a nice experience. The sites are shaded and most can view the lake. Managers are very friendly and make the stay enjoyable. Not all the sites are level so I would recommend driving around the campground to get a better feel. I like the C section the best. They do raise the rates during furniture market and that is the only time you need a reservation. Restrooms and showers have always been very clean when I have been there. Great place to stop over if you are in that area. We camped at Oak Hollow Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.
