We stayed here when Hurricane Irene came. The campground is a fairly small park. They say that it is bIg rig friendly, but B loop (the only loop for larger campers) is pretty tight. I watched a large Class C spend 10-15 minutes trying to get in to his spot, the only one of I think three that were 50 amp. There are a lot of tent/pop-up sites here, so if you are larger, look for some where else. The dump station is a bit small, and if there are cars parked at the ranger station, a larger RV would not be able to dump. The park itself however, is very nice. Even the afternoon that the hurricane was coming, they still had the rangers out and doing things for the kids. The staff were also AWESOME! They were very friendly and anxious to help out in any way. They had patrols out all night that the hurricane came through, making sure that all the campers were safe and secure. The only reason I did not give it a 10 is due to the tightness of B Loop.

This is one of the best state parks that we have stayed in. The only reason that I didn't give this a 10 is because of the lack of sewer hook ups. We were in the Handicap site, which is all cement and level. The site is located in a small cove right beside a boat launch with a nice little beach. We were able to launch a boat and wet land it in the cove and the kids still had plenty on beach to play on. It was fourth of July weekend so the park was packed, but it was not crowded. The bath houses were cleaned twice a day, even on the weekends. The rangers keep the park nice and quiet during quiet time, but did not disturb you if you were outside hanging around the fire. All in all, this was a great weekend at great park. We will definitely be back here again.

Some spots were right on top of each other, but we got lucky and had a nice big one. The playground was a little dated but was still very functional. They let you pick the spot for your fire pit so that was cool. There is a beach area and swimming area on site, as well as a boat launch. As far as fishing goes from the shore, the kids had a blast. If we caught one we caught 100 brim and bluegills. Small hooks, small bobber, light line and nightcrawlers; you can't go wrong. This was a great campground and had it not been Memormial Day weekend, it would have not have been so packed and there would have been a lot more room. One of the best parts was there were no golf carts except for the staff's. The store is well stocked and the staff was very friendly. We will be going back here again this summer!

Pretty good campground overall. This is a membership campground so most of the ppl here know each other. We stayed here on a voucher provided by our dealer when we bought our camper. The sites are pretty close together and there are a lot of golf carts here. We where here in the off season but there was still a fair amount of GC traffic. The Family Fun Center is very nice. It has an indoor pool (saltwater) with a drop slide, 9 hole mini golf, 10 lane bowling alley, a few video games, and an exercise room. The rest of the park has at least 2 playgrounds (older), a swimming beach, marina, fishing pier(a bit rough but not too bad) a bar and restaurant on site, and a fishing pond stocked with bass. Sites are level and paved. The membership fees are not too bad and you can use the membership nation wide. If we were not moving to Ft Riley, KS we would have joined.

There is not a playground for the kids here, which is why I gave it a 6 instead of an 8 or 9. The sites were level and the camp host was very friendly. There was a security guard on a golf cart that started to get on our nerves after a while, but he was doing his job making rounds. There are 3 fishing ponds which do not require a state license to use. All of the lake front sites are taken by permanent campers, however, we stayed at the top of the beach area, so we had a nice view of the pond. The campground is set up on a three loop style setup with no real walking trails but the roads are decent sized. As stated previously, this is not a destination campground, but is nice for a quick weekend get away. We would stay here again if in the area.
