Wendover KOA, West Wendover, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2006 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

It seems like the place is managed by remote control, but our stay was not in the busy time of the year. Yes, it's high desert gravel and stunted trees, but that's the way it is around there. There were cared-for shrubs and flowers. There are things to see in the area: Bonneville Salt Flats and the adjacent mountain drives and Wendover Airfield. We would have appreciated a little more visible security. The free WiFi is not dependable. We camped at Wendover KOA in a Motorhome.

Kellogg RV Park, Kellogg, Iowa

Date of Stay: October, 2006 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Recently added some 50 amp sites and raised the price to $14. Still a bargain. The amount of noise you get from the interstate depends on the direction of the wind. Choose a site that provides the least exposure of your sleeping area to the interstate. This is barebones, overnight camping. We camped at Kellogg RV Park in a Motorhome.

Premier RV Resorts of Redding , Redding, California

Date of Stay: September, 2006 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice. A little tight here and there, but the main problem was RVers who thoughtlessly parked their trucks and cars so they encroached on the roads and drives. Would prefer free wireless internet, of course! Very friendly staff. We camped at Premier RV Resorts of Redding in a Motorhome.

Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort, Panama City Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2005
Overall Rating:

This is an excellent RV Park! It's a pity that so much review space has been usurped by one or more very unhappy work campers. They need their own forum. We loved the place. The pool was great. The breakfasts were excellent, and it appeared that the owners or managers were going out of their way to make us and our mid-price motorhome comfortable. The grounds are extremely well-kept, and if there was a complaint, it was that the noise of machines cutting and trimming the park were disturbing. None of the help seemed to be resentful or display bad attitudes, so our stay wasn't marred by resentful workers. If there were more rules than usual, I didn't notice. If they were enforcing them, that's great for a change. I can't imagine anyone not liking this place. Didn't care much for the town, but would stay here again anyway. We camped at Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort in a Motorhome.

Kellogg RV Park, Kellogg, Iowa

Date of Stay: May, 2005 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nightly stopover place. Pay at the service station. Gas up on the way in or out and get 10 cents per gallon discount if you stay the night. The parking areas are all pull throughs in a grassy area with trees, but no real shade. It can be windy here and noisy, depending on the direction of the wind. Site are 1/4 mile from I-80. There is a cafe associated with the gas station. We stay here 2 or 3 times a year. This country needs about 15,000 stopovers like this one! We camped at Kellogg RV Park in a Motorhome.

Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park), Shreveport, Louisiana

Date of Stay: May, 2005 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our overnight. The pool was excellent as was the store and the staff. The owners have worked hard to make the place pleasant and functional. Some road work needed. The place is fairly hard to find. Needs bigger sign. We would stay here again happily. We camped at Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Cajun Country Campground, Port Allen, Louisiana

Date of Stay: May, 2005 - $18.00

Pleasant and helpful grounds staff. Office is rustic, rural, and chaotic. Pool was dirty the first day, vile the second. Our site was large and the overall experience was really good. Very quiet. We camped at Cajun Country Campground in a Motorhome.

Oasis RV Park (CLOSED), South Haven, Kansas

Date of Stay: May, 2005 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Perfect for overnight. Wheat fields as far as you can see on three sides. Beautiful to us. Campground is bleak, but well maintained. Roads are coarse gravel. Office staff is pleasant and obliging. Little interstate noise depending on wind direction. There is really nothing to do here except read. We camped at Oasis RV Park (CLOSED) in a Motorhome.

Whittington Woods Campground, Whittington, Illinois

Date of Stay: April, 2005 - $23.00

Lots of trees. Some marginal drivers with larger rigs may find the roads daunting. Place was sparsely occupied, but voltage was low at our site. Nice store and manager. We would go back. We camped at Whittington Woods Campground in a Motorhome.
