Homewood RV Park, Homewood, Kansas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Great service and hospitality! We called ahead and was lucky to get the last site. They stayed after hours until we arrived to get us checked in, and had a bag of hot popcorn waiting. The site was long and had plenty of room, so we didn't have to unhook our trailer. The utilities at the site looked new; also looked like they were grading the roads. Close to I-35 but not a lot of traffic noise. All the trees seemed to block it out. We camped at Homewood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mountain Road RV Park, Tucumcari, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

It was a quick overnight stop, and the place was almost full. Just a big gravel parking lot with a few trees here and there. No defined roads, and the sites weren't really defined either. You just kind of pull up next to the power post, which is an issue because most other RVs in the park were long and pulling a trailer or car. So you have RVs sticking out into what was probably the travel lane, so you couldn't get through. Had to make a U turn through another site to get out. At least, I think it was another site... We camped at Mountain Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hollywood RV Park(formerly Balboa RV Park), Van Nuys, California

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

This worked for a few nights in order to visit Universal and Hollywood area. I had read a few other reviews that said the spaces were small, but that was an understatement. We have a small sprinter motorhome (24') and was able to back carefully into an end space. But anyone with a trailer has to unhook, and then they maneuver the trailer into place with a forklift. And cars are parked in front of spaces and along the main alley, so once you are in your space, you're in. Every time someone needs to get in or out, 3 or 4 cars have to be moved. Overall the campground is clean and well kept. The laundry was clean and all the machines worked. Our site was clean and level. The neighborhood was a different story... it's right next to an airport so helicopters fly overhead all day. Panhandlers hang out at the 7-11 down the street. We stayed here because there are no other options for RVs in the area... and that's a shame, because at $65 for this place I would have been happy to pay big bucks for a modern comfortable RV park with normal sized sites. We camped at Hollywood RV Park(formerly Balboa RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

They do everything well... from the friendliness of the staff, to the cleanliness of the sites, to the store and pool. I thought it would be noisy from the highway, but we didn't really notice it. Just a plane taking off once in a while was loud. The staff at the front desk was so pleasant and helpful, it just goes to show that the people make the difference. We will go out of our way to come back here again. We camped at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in a Motorhome.

East Shore RV Park, San Dimas, California

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice county park, with RV park overlooking the lake. We were in C loop and had a great view. Big wide paved sites with full hookups, cable TV had lots of channels. This place is well-maintained. Not a speck of trash anywhere, everything in great shape. I would complain about the high price, but there are few options in southern California and this park really was worth it. We camped at East Shore RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park in a residential area of town, so it's very quiet at night. No highway noise. Sites are decent size with lots of pull throughs, but it's all gravel. Very friendly and helpful people. We camped at Richfield KOA in a Motorhome.

Mesa Regal RV Resort (55+ Park), Mesa, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

It's a retirement community, mostly mobile homes with a few RVs thrown in. We stayed a week so that we could visit relatives, but I wouldn't stay here otherwise. Sites are gravel and very small, except there is room to park your car. Good luck trying to back in a trailer or fifth wheel. They definitely don't cater to (or even want) overnighters. I was encouraged that there is a bar by the pool and restaurant, but we went in the afternoon when there was a band playing and service was bad. Took about 20 minutes for a waiter to come by, said she would be right back to get our order then never returned. We camped at Mesa Regal RV Resort (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated), Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Full hookups, with the water still on in the winter. We used our heated hose, otherwise you'll need to unhook your water at night. Nice paved site, we needed very little leveling. Trees are in and around most sites, so watch your clearance. Shuttle stops at the campground entrance, which goes everywhere. The grocery is close by, so we walked. Lots of area to walk the dog... he likes this place a lot. Dogs are allowed on trails above the rim, just not on the shuttles or in buildings. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Blanding RV park (formerly Kampark), Blanding, Utah

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

It's the middle of winter, and this is the only place open. Good for an overnight stop, with full hookups. Even the water is still on, which we used with our heated hose. Electric varies by site; some are missing receptacles. I didn't realize ours had a sewer hookup because the pipe was buried in the dirt. The sites are dirt mostly, even gravel would be an improvement. I imagine it would get muddy when the ground thaws out. The showers and restrooms were nice and clean... and warm! It's behind the 7-11 which is a stopover for trucks, lots of truck traffic at night. We camped at Blanding RV park (formerly Kampark) in a Motorhome.

Musicland Kampground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Great location, half block from the strip. It is the off season and just 4 other campers in the park, so it was very quiet. It's on the side of a hill, with tight turns. Park staff were friendly and helpful, even made show reservations for us. They do a great job keeping the place neat and clean. Good strong WiFi; cable TV didn't have many channels. We camped at Musicland Kampground in a Motorhome.

Cottonwoods RV Park, Columbia, Missouri

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is overall a nice place, we really want to like it because there are few options in the Columbia area. Very helpful and friendly staff. We'll be back just because of the great people. The sites are very tight... very close together, but on the plus side we could watch the neighbor's TV because we didn't have satellite.

We were here for 3 nights and the same trash was laying around when we left. Mens shower was dirty but wife said the women's was clean. Big laundry with new machines. Good WiFi; no cable TV. Nice store with lots of neat stuff. Plenty of area to walk the dog, and he appreciated it. We camped at Cottonwoods RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is the only RV park in the area, so we were fortunate that it's very nice. Huge wide open sites, easy to get in and out. Park hosts are friendly and helpful, but are not available on the weekends since this is the off season. Good cable tv but wifi is not great. We camped at Robidoux RV Park in a Motorhome.

RV Retreat at Johnson's Corner, Loveland, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is mostly a place for full time residents. We were given a site in a row of full timers and if our fifth wheel was one inch longer we would not have been able to get in and out. Slide outs come within a couple inches of the trailers on either side. Basically a Walmart parking lot with hookups. The place is clean, no trash, and the people are very friendly. OK for a one night stopover, although you may think twice if you have anything longer than 35'. We camped at RV Retreat at Johnson's Corner in a Fifth Wheel.

Lone Eagle Campground (Lake McConaughy SRA), Ogallala, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The lake was low so it was a longer walk to the beach, but during the week we had the place to ourselves. On Friday night it filled up with weekenders and they kept us up all night. No park rangers around, and the camp host certainly wasn't going to do anything about it. Nice campground with large sites, nice view overlooking the lake. Clean bathrooms and showers. We loved the place, and will come back again, just not on a weekend. We camped at Lone Eagle Campground (Lake McConaughy SRA) in a Fifth Wheel.
