Estes Park Campground at East Portal Reservoir, Estes Park, Colorado
Date of Stay:
July, 2016 -
$25.00
Overall Rating:
Wooded with some views. Some sites are close together but we had site A1 which is large and away from the pack. Restrooms could have been larger - only 3 male sit-down for 65 sites. Hilly. Hike out of the campground into rmnp. We camped at Estes Park Campground at East Portal Reservoir in a Travel Trailer.

Wilson's Riverfront RV Park, Asheville, North Carolina
Date of Stay:
March, 2016 -
$25.00
Overall Rating:
If it wasnt for the fact that this place is convenient to town, walking trails, and the river, it would be an overall 1 or 2. Not very shady and maybe 100 ft from the interstate highway. Loud traffic noise. Weird, old bathrooms, walking trail goes literally through the middle of the park. Seems like an afterthought. Lot spacing was nearby with predominately sunny/open exposure. Site surface was a concrete pad with asphalt, features a picnic table. We camped at Wilson's Riverfront RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
Convenient to town, walking trails and the river.

Stayed in the tent section and the restrooms were always dirty or need of repair. Rv section looked a little cramped and some of the tent sites were too. Nice pool and clubhouse. Good if you are going to the park since they have shuttles. We camped at Carowinds Camp Wilderness Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:
Only 2 showers and 2 toilets in each men and womens for such a big park. Awkward entry to restrooms as you must walk past everyone in the large activity room. Rough road, no recycling containers, no pool, lots of long-term campers. Good location and setting, can hike or Mtn bike out the back gate. Good wide sites, and drives. No real trees. We camped at Mt. Princeton RV Park in a Tent Trailer.
No fires. Hike or bike out the back gate

Date of Stay:
May, 2015 -

Overall Rating:
Nice level concrete pads, could use a little more vegetation around the park, sites are a little close together ok. The best part of this campground is close proximity to businesses and the beach. If you ride your bike, you're at the beach in 5 minutes. Good customer service. WiFi not great, only 3 showers 3 toilets for entire campground resulted in waiting. We camped at Luxury RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
Can walk to.many restaurants.

2 separate campgrounds within the park-the River is shaded and Beach is completely exposed. Park is spread out and we drove a lot but they rent bikes and there is lots to do and see. We stayed at the River Campground and could hear lots of industrial noises at night. We camped at Fort Clinch State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Tugaloo State Park, Lavonia, Georgia
Date of Stay:
May, 2011 -
$26.00
Overall Rating:
The state park is situated on a peninsula and is quite large, however the campground itself is laid out so that it is somewhat crowded. Since some loops are on a hill-side, there are many sites which feature great views of the open water of beautiful lake Hartwell. Some roads are rough and sites can be small. On Memorial Day it was very busy, lots of kids. Good place to hike, excellent picnic area, activity field, swim beach. We camped at Tugaloo State Park in a Travel Trailer.
