Apache Gold Casino RV Park, San Carlos, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2006 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This is no more than a large parking lot which was fine for us as a place to stop overnight. There is a gas station mini-mart and a Casino which was very busy. We had lunch in the casino and it was very good. It was quiet at night and we would stop here again when traveling through Globe. We camped at Apache Gold Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

North Clifton RV Park, Clifton, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2006 - $8.00
Overall Rating:

Park is very clean and well maintained. The rec. room had books, a modem hook-up and a pool table. Info. brochures were availabe and the manager, was very helpful with area information. Call ahead to see if there is space available as there are a number of people living there on a month to month basis. The mines have been hiring more people and we were only able to stay 2 nights. We were located next to the park/picnic area and were able to see the javelina rooting around at night under the park lights. If you are continuing on route 191(north) make sure you are under 40' including your tow vehicle as the road has over 400 turns and is very narrow. We camped at North Clifton RV Park in a Motorhome.

We are Passport America members and found this listing under Huachuca City which is 11 mi. from Tombstone. We found the staff friendly and informative. The grounds are as clean as can be and the laundry facilities were spotless. The park has fantastic views and at night the stars sparkle. Best of all it's quiet at night!! We camped at Tombstone Territories RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pima County Fairgrounds, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2006 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

We pulled in and parked only to find out the next day they were doing time trials at the speedway which is also part of the fairgrounds. It's a very quiet area far enough off the highway but make sure you find out if the speedway will be active. Water pressure and power was great, manager escorted us to our site and was very helpful with area information. We camped at Pima County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.
