Julian Price Park, Blowing Rock, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

We only live 30 minutes away, and have camped in this park at various times for many years. Our trips have been in Tents, Pop-ups, Trailers, and now a Class A Motorhome. As with many Federal Parks, there are no hookups although water and sewer dump facilities are available nearby. Our best memories, however, have been camping here watching Deer, Star-gazing, Canoeing, Hiking, and generally unwinding. The Boone Fork Trail meanders through the campground, and includes a five mile loop that includes some of the most beautiful creeks and waterfalls around. If you are into amenities, go somewhere else. If your objective is to commune with nature and regenerate, this is the place to be. We camped at Julian Price Park in a Motorhome.

4 Paws Kingdom Campground and Dog Retreat, Rutherfordton, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

On our first visit to Four Paws Kingdom we were welcomed by everyone. The owners were personally involved in every aspect of our stay, and made sure that we enjoyed ourselves without being intrusive. The campground is well laid out for all sizes of dogs with areas well established, and plenty of walking area as well. Our dogs Loved the pond and we were very comfortable with just "letting go". We camped at 4 Paws Kingdom Campground and Dog Retreat in a Motorhome.
