Great Campground for visiting Cooperstown or playing at Dream Parks! Very clean and very well run! I would recommend this campground to anyone. It made our 10 night stay a very good experience to remember forever. We camped at Hartwick Highlands Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Gulf State Park Campground, Gulf Shores, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very well equipped state park, with clean, air conditioned shower and rest rooms. All sites had full hookups and connections were in good shape. The pool was the nicest we have ever seen at a state park. Had partial shade in the middle of the pool to shield from the sun, and the kids pool area was actually made of the soft playground material for safety and had water jets for the them to run through. The nature center was very interesting for the kids. Wi-Fi was up and working throughout the park and we had a great signal at our site. We will return! We camped at Gulf State Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Rolling Hills RV Park, Calera, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed during a State Baseball Tournament for our son. The campground definitely served its purpose and was pleasant. The pool was under construction and was not open during our stay. However, if you stayed at the campground, you could swim at a hotel pool next door. The bath houses were clean but didn't have air conditioning and it was quite hot while inside. The lake area and surrounding walking area was quite nice for a morning run. There were quite a few campers that call this place home. If we were passing through the area and needed a place to stay we would definitely look at this campground again. We camped at Rolling Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Chesnut Bay , Leesburg, Alabama

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a fantastic campground. The only reason I don't give it a 10 is because of the sites. The particular site that we had was very difficult to get into due to tight space and backing up a hill to get it in place. Also, this particular site and a few around ours are very narrow so you don't have a lot of room between the campers. However, there are some sites that have plenty of room. As far as amenities (outdoor theater, volleyball, basketball, swimming, canoes, paddle boats, a big waterslide, beach area, activities for the kids, etc.) they are very good and the kids had a blast. We will visit this CG again but will pick a better site. Staff was extremely courteous and golf carts ride around to pick you up. We camped at Chesnut Bay in a Fifth Wheel.

Smith Lake Park, Cullman, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park and there is plenty of room for the children to run around and play. The bath house and restrooms were clean. The only downside is the distance from most campsites to the lake. The park's staff was very helpful. The park was very quiet and plenty of shade trees are available. We camped at Smith Lake Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Joe Wheeler State Park, Rogersville, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Overall, I would say this is a good park to visit. However, there wasn't a lot of room between sites for children to run around and play. There is plenty of shade and it is a very quiet park. All staff was extremely nice and very helpful. Bathhouses and restrooms were relatively clean but could use some maintenance. We camped at Joe Wheeler State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
