Northwest Michigan Fairgrounds Campground, Traverse City, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is weekly rate. Helpful camp host. Dirt roads, so a little dusty. Would have rated higher but no restrooms. They do have portalets. We camped at Northwest Michigan Fairgrounds Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Shipshewana Trading Place RV Park, Shipshewana, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent spot to visit flea market. Self pay - no staff unless find someone at the flea market office. Busy on Mondays and Tuesdays due to market. Will give 7th night free, must contact office during business hours. Water hookups are shared between two sites - so a longer hose will likely be needed plus bring a Y to attach two hoses - one for you and one for your neighbor who did not bring a Y! We camped at Shipshewana Trading Place RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rancheros de Santa Fe Campground, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Camphost/workers are friendly and work hard to keep up the park. But this is an older park - roads are in poor shape and turns are difficult. We watched a large motorhome have to backup twice to make a turn from his site to the exit. Overpriced for the condition of the sites and roads. Likely will not stay here again. The good: close to the city without being in the city. We camped at Rancheros de Santa Fe Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park, West Memphis, Arkansas

Date of Stay: November, 2011 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

A wonderful park. Other reviews say it all: friendly staff. Has large open areas and good views. The only reason for a 9 is the Wi-Fi is iffy at best. We will stay here again. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Dad's Bluegrass Music RV Park, Franklin, Kentucky

Date of Stay: November, 2011 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Over priced for a one night stay. This is a half price Passport rate. Might be good during summer when pool and music available. Park should reduce price for off season limited facilities. The sites not very level. We camped at Dad's Bluegrass Music RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cape Fair COE, Cape Fair, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Recreation.gov indicates sites for a 40 foot rig - not the case due to many trees and ditches. This park should state no rigs over 35 feet. We could not stay - we did get a refund from COE. We camped at Cape Fair COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Glenn Cunningham Lake Campground, Omaha, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $15.00

A busy park which has good views. It needs some work on the roads and trees. The dump station was overflowing when we arrived but was pumped out later in the week. We camped at Glenn Cunningham Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Bob Shetler Campground COE, Johnston, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Busy family park: very few full hook sites. Most electric only 30 amp. Poor signage coming into park as the check-in gate is at only one of the loops. Low hanging trees need trimming, we had to move around on the road and wait for cars to pass to avoid tree limbs. The sites are nice, wide and have good views. Access pass would make this price $9. We camped at Bob Shetler Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area, Buckboard Crossing Campground, Green River, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This was a lovely forest campground with friendly hosts and large sites. Our rate was with our National Access discount with $4 for electric. The water and dump station is at the entrance. There is a marina and boat launch nearby. Cell phone service was spotty. We camped at Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area, Buckboard Crossing Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Terry Bison Ranch Resort, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Park is way over priced, even at the Passport rate of $18, which is 50% off. It is poorly maintained. Would dry camp at Wal-Mart or the Flying J next time. Same amount of interstate noise as a Flying J. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
