This is a nice campground. The owners have a lot of attention to detail and quickly responded to, and solved, a sewer drain problem (was clogged by previous campers). My "8" rating is based on a few minor criticisms, some of which are out of the campground's control. Getting into the lot was very difficult, requiring a lot of back and forth movement, due to the tight spacing of the lots. Fortunately, the owner recognizes that and personally aids the campers in backing into the spaces. However, prior to departure, I asked the neighbors to move their vehicles so we could leave without disturbing them early in the morning. Use of the lake/pond is included in the camping fees, but the water visibility was probably no more than 6 inches. The owner claimed the water tests all come back excellent and that the visibility is likely due to sediment as it is supposedly clear in the mornings. The lake/pond was very busy when we were there, so the sediment may have been the issue, but it was the worst I have ever seen in a lake/pond. Use of the pool (which was very clean), costs $1 per person per day. I suspect they charge that in order to limit the number of persons using the pool as it is not very big and, after looking at the lake, many people may prefer the pool. Since the rate on the campsite was reasonable, the extra charge for the pool wasn't necessarily that bad, but I hate feeling like I am "nickle and dimed" when I go to a campground, so that fee was a bit of a turnoff for me. I would prefer they raise their rate slightly and have the pool use included. The Miniature Golf was fun, but it also requires an extra fee. As above, I would prefer to not have to pay extra for the amenities, but I suppose if someone were only going to camp overnight and not use them, then that allows them to stay less expensively. I would consider staying here again if I were in the area. I commend the owners for their hard work and attention to guest safety and comfort.

This is a very nice, clean, friendly campground. The owner is helpful and friendly and will give you a cell phone # when you make your reservation so you can call him upon arrival for guidance to your site. I didn't give this a higher rating because it does not have Wi-fi, the playground equipment is getting old, and the showers/restrooms are dated. However, the pool is very nice and well kept. This is the second time we stayed here and we plan to stay again next year when in the area, so it is much more than adequate. Note that this is a cash only campground (no credit cards).

Our rate included a 10% military auxiliary discount. The park was very clean with great facilities. As another review I read said, it had probably the cleanest bathrooms and showers I have seen at a campground. I would stay here again.

This is a nice campground, but I can see where it might get some mixed reviews due to the variability in the individual sites. Our site was in the northwest section, right next to the creek (the campground is divided in half by the creek), and is probably one of the best sites in the campground as we had no neighbor sharing our green space and there was plenty of room. However, some sites are very narrow and share space with another RV. The pool was great and it had a nice playground. The bathrooms could have been a little cleaner, but not bad at all. We would definitely stay here again as long as we could get one of the nicer sites, but not if we could only get one of the narrow, shared space sites.

Our site was excessively unlevel, to the point of not being able to level our trailer (side to side) even with numerous boards stacked under the wheels. Because it was so bad, getting it somewhat close took an excessive amount of time. Wi-Fi was spotty at best, but it was the 4th of July weekend and the park was full, likely causing an overload to their router. Mini-golf and pool usage were included in cost of stay, which was nice. Our child also loved meeting Yogi, Boo Boo, and Cindi Bears numerous times during our 4 day stay. We might stay there again, but not unless we hear that they improve the levelness of the sites and start updating the facilities (mini-golf, rest rooms), especially considering that this is a more expensive campground.

Very friendly owners, nice setting, family friendly: There are a couple of huge areas of open space (estimating 5+ acres total), plus a nice playground for kids, including swings, slides, and climbing/hanging equipment. Our 2 1/2 year old loved it (older kids would enjoy it, also), but some of the equipment is getting old and worn out, yet is still safe. The campground is right next to Sugar Creek, which offers a nice atmosphere and photo opportunities. We will definitely stay again, likely making it a regular get away.
