Winnemucca / I-80 KOA (formerly I-80 Winnemucca), Winnemucca, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

We like this park very much and stay here every time we come through Winnemucca. We can stay on a Passport America rate which is great. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the park is clean and well maintained. It is quiet and restful, with great views of the mountains. We camped at Winnemucca / I-80 KOA (formerly I-80 Winnemucca) in a Motorhome.

Mountain Shadows RV Park, Wells, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here before and enjoyed the park. It has many more permanents than before so it is a bit trashy where they are parked. Lots of train noise. The interior roads have large puddles, but will hopefully be repaired before the summer season. We would stay again as it is the nicest park in Wells. We camped at Mountain Shadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

Victorian Acres Campground, Nebraska City, Nebraska

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here on Passport America. I think that is why we were parked in the weeds and not on the upper level where the sites were better groomed. It was quiet and safe, however, as we were down from the highway. The park needs maintenance, but is OK for overnight. We camped at Victorian Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

The Travel Camp, Green River, Wyoming

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

The rates for this nasty park are excessive. We have been on the road for 4-1/2 months and have never paid so much for parking. The grounds were littered with dog waste and trash. Dirt, weeds, lots of highway and train noise, trashy permanent residents in the overnight area, and barking dogs. We will drive further next time. We camped at The Travel Camp in a Motorhome.

Poche's RV Park, Breaux Bridge, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We have camped here two years in a row. The staff was friendlier and more efficient in 2010, but it was still OK. The sites are nice, grassy with cement pads right along the lakeside. The sunsets are fantastic and the lake is lovely. We will stay here any time we are in the area. We used out Passport America for the good rate. Poche's restaurant and store are a great place for wonderful Cajun food. We stocked our freezer with goodies. We camped at Poche's RV Park in a Motorhome.
