Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Tall Pines, Elmer, New Jersey

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $87.00
Overall Rating:

Overall we give Jellystone Tall pines a high 4 out of 5 rating. Would have been a 5 except for a few issues listed below. This campground is very nice with mostly shady sites and dirt/sand roads. Some of the sites are tight. The campground has a very nice pool and a small splash park for the kids. The pool does have a slightly cloudy appearance, but is very clean. Not being a pool guy it almost appeared that they kept it that way for some valid reason. Staff was also checking the balance of the pool and adding water very often. They also have 2 inflatable water slides, one being a pretty good sized. They also have a nice store with hot food and ice cream. Overall the entire property was well maintained. There was a large number of scheduled activities for campers which was great. They also have a small fishing pond. Golf cart rentals are available and most golf cart users where courteous, there were a few kids riding around on small electric mini bikes which were a little out of control. The restrooms & showers were very clean. On more then one occasion our dog got biscuits from the cleaning staff, which was a great touch. Why not a 5? 1. The check in staff when we arrived were very cold, no issues checking in they just were not very friendly and welcoming 2. We were assigned a site that was basically in between cabins and does not appear on the site maps. Other than the sewer connection being 12" in the air the site was pretty nice, however we had booked a "premium" site. We did not feel we got what we paid for so I spoke with a different individual at the front desk whom was very nice and was directed to speak with the general manager the next morning. He handled the situation very professionally and to our satisfaction. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Tall Pines in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park, They are obviously doing alot of work to fix up the park. Site was very spacious, and angle allowed easy entry to back in site. Staff was the most friendly we have ever had in any campground. Would highly recommend. We camped at Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tom's Cove Park, Chincoteague, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2006 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We have camped here for years, and the campground was always nice, but a little older, and the staff could be a little rude. This visit the staff was very nice, and they have made numerous improvements. 50 Amp service is now available on some sites, They have added cable to alot more sites, there is a new bathhouse, the sewer system has been upgraded, and the staff must have taken personality training. The campground has 2 nice docks, with blanket VA fishing permits, A boat ramp, and is a great location to explore the area. We will camp here again. We camped at Tom's Cove Park in a Travel Trailer.

Country Acres Campground, Gordonville, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: April, 2006 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Campground was well maintained, however our site backed up to a electric fence and a junkyard on one side, and the motel 6 on the other side. The sites where within 50' of the motel itself, and the lights lit up the camper all night long. The traffic on route 30 is very audible from the campground, to the point trucks would wake us up at night. The campground maintenance staff also drove around the campground at high speeds creating dust and hazards to small children. We were camping in a group and will not go back to this park. We camped at Country Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.
