Date of Stay:

One of the more remote state parks in Florida. Sunsets are exquisite. Two separate camping areas. Both have two bathhouses equally maintained. Very clean. Sites are sandy. Our only problem (both incoming and outgoing) were vehicles parked in the roadway making our entrance and exit difficult and challenging. Minimal ranger presence. Our pull through site was located very near the boardwalk. Pristine beach. Would stay here again but pick a site closer to the entrance to avoid the vehicles parked in the roadway.

Real Florida! Very secluded and quiet. White squirrels abound and seem friendly. Navigation to campsite was a bit tricky in our 40' rig. Vehicles from other campsites were parked in the pathway in several areas. Check in is only between 3-5 daily. You park your rig or tent before registering. No ranger presence here. Site is adequate; fairly close to neighboring sites. This is our second visit here. Remoteness of park is very attractive. Lots of boating activities available.

Very clean. Park ranger presence was above average for state parks. Beach is pristine: no vendors. Sunsets were beautiful. Bathrooms were cleaned earlier than scheduled: this is our only criticism. Maintenance of bath facilities very good. Beach access was reasonable to site. Will definitely return.
