San Antonio KOA, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

One of the better KOA's. City bus service right at the entrance and it is cheaper than parking downtown. Staff was informative and helpful. We would come here again when in San Antonio. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Motorhome.

Midway Park COE, Waco, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Great COE park with spacious level sites with grill and covered picnic table. Our site was cleaned and raked before our arrival and firewood placed by the fire ring. Super views of the lake. Close to everything in town. Rate we paid was with Golden Age discount We camped at Midway Park COE in a Motorhome.

Lockhart State Park, Lockhart, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Great state park. Golf course right across the access road. Each site had a covered picnic table and plenty of room. The river sites are not for big rigs as the trees have low branches and are extremely un level. The golf course circle sites are all long and level. Nice state park with full hookups. You do have to add the state park entrance fee to your site costs. We camped at Lockhart State Park in a Motorhome.

Old Time Trade Days Flea Market, Winnie, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We were here for three nights and they were having their flea market days. It rained off and on but the concrete pads were clean and level. You can not do anything about the rain and the mud that comes with the rain. Nose from the freeway is very audible as the overpass foundation rubles every time a big truck passes over, which is constant. The city of Winnie is very friendly and small. The campground utilities worked great except the water pressure is very high. We had to use two regulators to be safe. The owners were friendly and helpful and all in all this was a very acceptable campground, especially the price. Pricing at the flea market was something else. High prices for mostly made in China Walmart stuff or inflated prices for homemade knock knacks. We camped at Old Time Trade Days Flea Market in a Motorhome.

Coushatte Recreation Ranch, Bellville, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2012 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

First the bad because it far outweighs everything else. Bathrooms and showers should be condemned! Some work has been done on them but in four years only 'some' which amounts to some half installed tile, has been done. Everything here is dirty and needs a general scrubbing or demolition. Access is over a side road off a side road off a side road. The access road is used by the U.S. Army to test their new tanks and for practice IUD demolitions. Your roof air will shake loose if you drive more than 5 mph. Electricity is a little iffy so don't use too much. Wi-Fi is a joke at $ 5.00 per day. Ridiculous at best. There are no amenities so it is very quite because you are in the middle of nowhere. The good, cheap rate and the owners are super nice. We camped at Coushatte Recreation Ranch in a Motorhome.

Las Vegas RV Resort , Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: December, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Great park. Finally one that makes dog owners responsible for their pets. No shade but in December that is OK; in the summer it would be hot. Utilities worked fine, and staff was very helpful. Nicest park close to the strip. We camped at Las Vegas RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Rayford Crossing RV Resort, Spring, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park. Our rate was the rally rate, and it was worth it. The facility is super clean, and they were planting fall flowers all weekend to further brighten the grounds. Staff was friendly and efficient. The utilities were all top notch and worked perfectly. This is our second time to stop here and it has been a great stop both times. The only thing negative is that their stocked fish pond has the famous "lockjaw" variety as I have never gotten a nibble there. We camped at Rayford Crossing RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Douglas KOA, Douglas, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

What a surprise!! A KOA that is actually cheaper and nicer than any other RV park. The young ladies who check you in start a great experience. Sites are level and pull through with good utilities. This was an oasis in the middle of semi-arid Wyoming. We will definitely say here again when traveling in Wyoming. We camped at Douglas KOA in a Motorhome.

Spokane County Fairgrounds (Special Events Only), Spokane, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

A Wal-Mart parking lot would be a lot cheaper. $ 45.00 per night was a big rip off. If we had not paid in advance more than a year ago, we would have never stopped. This is a huge complex and you are parked in the very back. Access to the bus stops requires a hike of 1.4 miles because they lock all the adjoining gates to keep you from accessing one part of the fairground from the other parts. Note the public buses service stops after the last bus leaves downtown at 9:37 p.m. We will never stay here again. We camped at Spokane County Fairgrounds (Special Events Only) in a Motorhome.

Willows Trailer Village, Moses Lake, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Site was level and water and electricity was good. Most sites are taken up by migrant farm workers. The park is off the interstate and out of the way. It is showing its age. At 6 the next morning, crop dusters flew right over the trailer tops spraying the potato fields. We would not stay here again. Cash or checks only at this campground! We camped at Willows Trailer Village in a Motorhome.
