Cloverdale RV Park, Cloverdale, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older park trying to recreate itself by advertising pull through sites. This is true, but only because they have taken two old back-to-back sites and termed them a pull through....but without rearranging the hookups! This resulted in almost useless sewer, water, and electric. Likely a reason for poor 30 amp only service, i.e. old wiring. Not only is the electric old, but the hookup is not where it neefs to be: the kind lady suggested we hookup to the electric on the adjoining site! The water and sewer placements were also really useless. We did not even try to hook up our water and sewer. Luckily we had used a good campground the night before and had empty grey and black tanks and a full 100 gallons of fresh water. The above will hopefully help other people understand the variety of evaluations. On the positve side, the park was quiet and well kept. The Wi-Fi worked decently. The many trees prevented our satellite from picking up a signal...which encouraged us to talk and watch dvd's. It is what it is. Given our experience we would not likely return. Sewer, water, and solid electricity, even 30 amp, need to be offered at a minimum and this park does not do that. Narrow access road; hope no one comes the other way. We camped at Cloverdale RV Park in a Motorhome.

Camelot RV Campground, Poplar Bluff, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

A little scary on arrival. When you stop at the entrance you see the entrance area is downhill and a narrow road. And, I am in a 40 ft diesel pusher towing a 21 ft Silverado. Whew! But after registering, we always pay cash, the campground host leads via narrow but adequate roads to a level plateau with several long pull-through sites with full 50 amp hookups. Then, to my surprise, the campground host proceeds to help me hook up! Really! So, my suggestion, have no qualms about this campground: perfect for overnight stay. Free cable and Wi-Fi. Don't worry about first sight of hills in park. Our site was level. We camped at Camelot RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Archway RV Park (formerly Quality Times RV Park), Mount Vernon, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We had reservations for Aug 19 prior to eclipse. Price reflects that; a good deal. On arriving very hot so asked to stay 2 nights to have 50 amp. Not a problem. Full hookups and the guy that took us to our site even helped hook us up to WSE! Wow! Learning of potential traffic jam on Monday morning I went to office to let them know we would actually be leaving Sunday about 5 pm. I suggested a $20 refund. The guy handed me a $40 refund cash. Wow! We had the 4th site from the back and faced west. Good satellite reception. Based on our 18 year rv lifestyle I would rate this park very high and stay again when in the area. Very nice kids playground. Very level sites. Huge tenting area. Close to almost amenity anyone might need. Easy off I-57 and easy back on. Trees offer shade. Easy, wide, level driving lanes. We camped at Archway RV Park (formerly Quality Times RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Country View RV Park, Hanceville, Alabama

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We travel in a Class A coach. Me 78; she 75. We only want full hookups and a level site; clear for our Satellite dish. This rv park totally satisfies our needs. Hence our high rating. Only caveat coming from I-65 drive slow and do not turn in until you see their sign. Several other driveways are "out" from their Park. Wait for their sign to turn in.

We are 65 feet long. Site 17 long enough. Easy hookups. Adequate water pressure. The mother and son in the office are gracious and helpful. Glad we found it. Perfect for our needs. We camped at Country View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tallahassee East Campground , Monticello, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Free pie upon arrival; free breakfast too. 10% discount for KOA. We stayed on site A2 which is in a field out in the open and had full hookups. Fairly level. Site about 80 feet long. Easy drive about 1 1/2 miles from I-10. Second time we stayed there on our trip from Naples, Florida to Alabama. Quiet. We camped at Tallahassee East Campground in a Motorhome.

Easy on, easy off; great for overnight stay at $25.00 cash or check. Honor system when no one there. Three rows; motorhomes use row B for hookups. Full hookups. No trees so satellite worked fine.

Elizabethtown Crossroads Campground, Elizabethtown, Kentucky

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We called late the day of our arrival and they had one site (#36) available with water and electric for $27. with Good Sam discount. Site was very long and our 65 feet rv & truck had room to spare. No dump at this site. Dump easy to get to... just more work when my age closer to 80 than 70. Creosoted logs at dump site added to effort. Site 36 ok for front located satellite dish. Didn't use any other facility. Roadways narrow but ok to maneuver, never understood why owners do not cut trees when so numerous.

Drive slowly after exiting I-65 because their sign is small. We would call earlier next time and ask for this same site. I would be sure my gray and black tanks were empty. Good overnight campground. We camped at Elizabethtown Crossroads Campground in a Motorhome.

Interstate RV Park, Davenport, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped for an overnight in our 40 ft class A towing our 21 ft pickup. We had plenty of room length and width. Full hookups. Satellite TV reception good. No noticeable road noise. Flying-J close by between park and I-80. Easy access. Check entrance to RV park via Google Earth as the entrance is via a cul-de-sac to your right just before the park. We would stay here again. We camped at Interstate RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park, Wall, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

I gave Sleepy Hollow a 10 because we need full hookups, easy in, easy out, level ground, and WiFi for a decent price, and this RV park met our needs. They say close enough to walk to Wall Drug. True for younger people, but we drove our toad. We were there just at the end of bike week in Sturgis and the price had not been increased. Close to the Badlands loop drive. Friendly people. Cable a bonus for us. Open sites for satellite reception, but mention this when reserving a site. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Chris' Camp, Spearfish, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

Near Sturgis. Bike week rate $100 cash or check only. Very nice park. Easy access off I-90 at Exit 14. Paved interior roads. Two swim pools. We had site 11: good hookups, level, good wifi, shade, everything great. Well run, felt like well-liked family member. Food service in park. Best personal guidance into a site that I have ever experienced. We would certainly stay here again. We camped at Chris' Camp in a Motorhome.

Central States Fairgrounds, Rapid City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The RV sites are located at the corner of E. Centre St and Cambell St. The entrance is on E. Centre. There is no staff at the RV park. Pull in to any site, disconnect your toad, drive south on the interior dirt road with your toad, make a right turn and look soon for the office at 800 San Francisco Street. Go in, pay $30., get a tag telling the date you will be leaving. They will send a person to unlock your electric post. Same price, 30 or 50 amp. The person they send will know which sites are 30 and which are 50 amp. Important: call first to be sure a site is available. While only 5 sites were occupied when we stayed, if an event is scheduled, like a fair, then it is unlikely a site will be available. Office open M-F, 8 AM to 5 PM. GPS: since the RV park has no address, you can use 600 Cambell St., the address of a local business across the street. Once there, the park will be obvious. Use Exit 60 from I-90 and drive south looking for signs "Central States Fair Grounds. Very good overnight stop. No shade. Level. We camped at Central States Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Spruce Park on the River, Kalispell, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

My wife says give them a 10 for site 25. Very level, did not need levelers. Satellite TV worked. Shade tree and picnic table. Full hookups. Paved streets so I could ride my bike. Play area for kids. Some sites right on the Flathead River; other sites with river view. Easy in and easy out. Ample dumpsters for trash. Friendly neighbors gave me advice for a mobile RV repair person and he came out the next morning at 8:30 and finished the repair by 9:15. Only minor negative were speed bumps, but this made it safe even for little kids. Just biked around them. We camped at Spruce Park on the River in a Motorhome.

Cardwell Store & RV Park, Cardwell, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

I gave this park a 10 even after reading other reviews. We were in site 34 a long pull-through with electricity and water. We only needed the electricity. We are in a 40 foot rig. Added benefits were the easily accessible diesel pumps and the store and a bar with burgers ad beer. Easy off I-90 at exit 256 and then a short drive in the morning to Yellowstone. Quiet. Satellite TV worked. What more could I ask for? All they needed to reserve my spot was my first name and phone number; no credit card. That is worth a 10 from me. We camped at Cardwell Store & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Timber Wolf Resort, Hungry Horse, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is the worst campground we have ever been at with our 40 foot RV with respect to getting in and out and using their water, sewer, and electric hookups. I literally had to crawl on my hands and knees to reach under my raised access doors to do these hookups because of the narrow spaces and slope of the hill. If you call for a reservation they will ask about your length and slides to see which site they can literally squeeze you into. I would never stay here again. I would go to another of the many parks within a few miles that are on flat land. The RV sites are on a rather steep hill and you do not have any real flat area for even a chair at the site we were assigned. Also, their policy (threat) to charge your credit card if you do not leave by 10 AM is absurd. We did not know any better when we made our reservation; hope this is helpful. My only positive: the Wi-Fi was good. We camped at Timber Wolf Resort in a Motorhome.

Cruise Inn RV Park and Lodging (formerly America's Best Inn and Suites, Alexandria, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

I gave it a 10 because the wi-fi worked well and it was easy access in & out, a level site, hard sand, and no problems with electricity or water or sewer. Fine for my 40 foot Class A coach. A motel is also on the property. The motel and most sites occupied by transient workers. The battery of my toad needed a boost and as it was early evening, two of these workers gave assistance when asked. I would strongly recommend this little gem of a park to everyone. A playground for kids was also there. We stayed 2 nights. We camped at Cruise Inn RV Park and Lodging (formerly America's Best Inn and Suites in a Motorhome.
