La Junta KOA, La Junta, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We actually paid $5 extra for 9/2 due to holiday weekend. Didn't realize it would be more. We were looking for a place to stay on our return trip home so we wouldn't encounter a lot of holiday traffic. We drove to John Martin Reservior State Park to check out the campground. We would prefer it over this park next time we are in this area. We camped at La Junta KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Yellowstone Park / Mountainside KOA, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

The park is located conveniently to West Yellowstone. The shower setup was amazing! We were in a corner site and it was quite dusty when vehicles drove by. We would stay here again but would request a different site. We camped at Yellowstone Park / Mountainside KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Chatfield State Park, Littleton, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for three nights and definitely would come back. We received free daily passes due to my husband being a veteran. A nice surprise and appreciation from the state of CO! The campground was spacious and had nice trails, especially for bikes. The scenery is beautiful and a very relaxed atmosphere. We camped at Chatfield State Park in a Travel Trailer.

We played Pickleball at Raymond Park. These guys played early in the morning beginning at 6:30 so we missed them the second day... Still adjusting from CST.

Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground), Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

The roads were really bad to the camping loops, lots of potholes and no way to dodge them. Our travel trailer is 35' long and we met with challenges to back in because of small pine trees across the road from the site. It was tight but doable. The sites are cramped together. Seemed like a commercialized park out for the dollars instead of the national park I remembered as a kid (over 50 years ago). Disappointed that there was no picnic table or fire ring. I'm sure we just missed that info on the website. Also, we could not put our awning out and the pine tree limbs were right against our back door. We could open it but not all the way. Once the slides were out it was difficult to walk around the trailer. Thinking it is a good thing there is a lot to see so you are not in the campground much and maybe that is the thinking behind the crowded spaces. The showers were at the front entrance, a long way from our site, not in walking distance. We will not stay at this campground again. Think we will stay at another park instead. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Great park to stay at in the Amarillo Area. We stayed a total of six nights (3 at the beginning of our trip and 3 on the return trip home in Sept). The hosts are great. We did prefer site 163 on the return trip but any of the sites are good. Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Fort Amarillo RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Enjoyed our stay here. At first, we thought the spaces looked very uneven but after we pulled into our site, it was fine. Had to watch steps on the concrete patio area to make sure we were able to put out the third step. Good location outside of town about three miles away from the hussle and bussle of downtown. Some road noise but not bad. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
