Fort De Soto Campground, Tierra Verde, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is our favorite place to camp near the beach. While you can't swim at the waterfront sites, you can fish or just enjoy the most beautiful sunsets you've ever seen. The beaches here have powder white sand and the water is usually crystal clear. Can't wait for our next trip to Ft. Desoto! We camped at Fort De Soto Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Madison, Madison, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We love Jellystone! We have a travel trailer, and we camp with our 2 1/2 & 3 1/2 year olds. There is a putt putt course, a giant slide, a swimming pond & a playground right on the beach of the swimming area. There are many other activities, but these are the ones that we're able to enjoy with toddlers. You have to be very comfortable with a more backwoods crowd, but the kids enjoy this campground more than Disney. I was a little disappointed during our last stay because there were a lot of cigarette butts on our site. It didn't feel as if the site was cleaned up after the last guests. But with that said, we will be back to this very family friendly campground. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Madison in a Motorhome.
