I live near here, FYI - This campground has been sold to Panduit Corporation(for the property, not the facility) and will be re-developed for office use. It closed permanently in November.

We stayed for a Halloween themed weekend. The kids loved it, lots of fun activities. The campground is not being maintained very well. One of the shower buildings was very dirty and run-down. Something is killing the trees. Over 300 trees have been removed. A large branch fell on a neighbor's RV the day we arrived. We would not stay here again.

This trip was a disaster from the outset. The sites were muddy. Very wooded campground, but the mosquitos were so bad we could not sit by the fire, even wearing heavy-duty bug spray. Shower/restrooms were far away and not clean. The shortcut path to the building was too muddy to use. The beach/lake and its facilities were very nice but I would not stay at the campground again.

We vacation in St. Germain every year, usually renting a nearby cabin. Tried tent camping here. Had a lousy site, too close to the bathroom. The resort facilities are older, could use some updating, but bathroom cleaned often. Showers not very nice. Not much separates the campsites, no privacy at all, some of the sites are very small. The sites near the lake appear larger. The lower area sites are not as nice as the upper. The lower roads are sandy gravel. People had to walk past our site to get to the bathroom, heard people all night long. Quiet hours were not observed. We were also too close to the dumping station, and somebody spilled on Day 2 of 4 and we had to live with the smell. The management did nothing to try and fix the foul odor. We left early. Would not go back. Perhaps an RV would have been more pleasant. I give it a 4 because St. Germain is a beautiful town/area. Sticking to the cabins!
