Thousand Palms RV Resort, Lake Panasoffkee, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed there over the Labor day weekend. Office was run down , had almost no items on the store shelves. When the reservations were made they were told that we had a 40' motorhome , they tried to put us on a site (premium) that would have been tough to back a class B into much less a motorhome. They did allow us to change to another site that was a pull thru. Our grandchildren were looking forward to the "Fun Zone" that they advertised. Turns out the "Fun Zone" consisted of a couple of blowup water slides (think bouncy house)and a handful other things, and it was only open for 2 hours a day. Site consisted of a grass site with a concrete pad for the picnic table. When the sun went down the mosquitos come out! Not what the website projects. We camped at Thousand Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Williston Crossings RV Resort, Williston, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $32.00

Probably one of the nicest parks we have ever stayed at . My wife and I live about 45 miles from this campground and we use it as our weekend get away at least once per month. The owners and their kids are extremely friendly and helpful, and they go out of their way to make you feel at home. once they finish construction of the pool area this will be a 10+ park We camped at Williston Crossings RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Whispering River Resort (formerly Misty River Cabins & RV Resort), Walland, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $45.00

The campground has potential , I'm not sure it will ever live up to it though. The problem we had was that they don't enforce the rules ,mainly the rule concerning dogs being on a leash. The trailer across from us was inhabited by four or five people ranging in age from about 14 through maybe 20 , apparentlly that's where they live . They had dogs running all over the campground; 4 adult dogs and a litter of puppies . We couldn't sit outside with our dogs without being harassed by these roaming dogs. We arrived on a Friday and immediately had aproblem with the dogs , we complained at the office and were told " yeah we've been having some problems with those people".Finally after the second or third complaint they asked the people to tie their dogs up. These weren't the only dogs running loose in the campground. Bottom line is they apparently don't think enough of their customers to make sure the rules are followed. We camped at Whispering River Resort (formerly Misty River Cabins & RV Resort) in a Motorhome.
