Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort, Narvon, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Nice place for a family with kids and a small unit. Not the place for a big rig and tow. Turns are tight, very tight, and someone decided huge rocks around the curves would be aesthetically pleasing. I guess to keep folks off the grass, but it's really tight. At check in there is just not enough room at the entrance. If you try to pull out of the way you block all the cars that are parked up there, not to mention the kids and golf carts! Plus the "gate" is atrocious. Honestly we barely make it through. Pretty place off the beaten path, so keep in mind you'll be driving 30 minutes to get anywhere. The quarry is loud, as is the speedway, but with AC's running you really don't hear it much, and you tend to tune it out. We didn't find it a problem. Others we were with love it, just depends what you're looking for! But I wouldn't recommend it for big rigs. We camped at Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Fort Chiswell RV Park, Max Meadows, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Always stay here on our way north or south. Great little campground. Mostly pull thrus, great laundry, and good ice cream at office/store. Lots of clovers and the grass usually needs cut, but they are always cutting it! We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Candy Hill Campground, Winchester, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, convenient to interstate. A little pricey, but we had to get a premium site because everything else was taken. Nice site, no problem getting into it. I will say the road into the campground is really tight and windy, but other than that the place is clean, staff are friendly, they lead you to your site. Nice little store with some food essentials, lots of rv parts and lots of souvenir stuff. As for the noise we had the AC on the whole time, so can't hear a thing! We camped at Candy Hill Campground in a Motorhome.

Chattanooga North / Cleveland KOA, Cleveland, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Wasn't planning on staying here, didn't even know it existed, but we broke down at their exit. We called them to see if they had a site for the evening and they were able to accommodate us. In fact we got the last spot on a Saturday night which was a back in. Park was clean and I can't say enough about the staff, who led us to our site, helped us back in and even gave us some tips on where to go for parts! I'd rate them a 10 but I honestly didn't have time to enjoy their park. Our site was big enough for us and our truck, and easy access from interstate. Campground roads were easy to navigate. We camped at Chattanooga North / Cleveland KOA in a Motorhome.

Tifton KOA, Tifton, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, easy to get into from I75. First site they put us in was too small. One of the staff came running over to stop us and sent us to a larger site. Everything worked well, as commented by others the water pressure is great! A little tough for us to maneuver out of our site as there are lots of trees, but it's doable. Would stay here again, 40' motorhome with truck in tow. We camped at Tifton KOA in a Motorhome.

Forsyth KOA, Forsyth, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Nice KOA, very clean grounds, roads are narrow, but paved. Staff was friendly. They have a pizza place in the office/store that delivers to your site which is nice. WiFi was non existent. We were in the newer section of pull thrus so maybe that had something to do with the reception; however if they don't fix it they should take it off their list of amenities. In the 30 free minutes they gave me I was able to open one page. Other than that great place to overnight. We camped at Forsyth KOA in a Motorhome.

Ocean Lakes Family Campground, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here for a week or so for many years, but this year we definitely saw a change in the park. Started with the check in process. Usually they're so friendly, but this year the young lady who checked me in was so bored with her job the only thing she said to me was "Next!" We stood there and looked at each other until I finally said I'm here to check in. After that she asked me my name and what my site number was - I guess I thought she'd know. They had run out of campground maps in the other lines, but I was lucky enough to get her last one. Lots of signs telling you to take care of your coolers, bikes, etc., as there had been some incidents. Golf carts everywhere being driven by kids who were nowhere near 16, nor with an adult. Our site was just big enough for us to fit once we found out who owned the truck and golf cart that was parked there for their convenience. On the bright side they were very nice and did move out of the way. Garbage was left by the previous camper and not picked up until the next day. Spot was nice and close to the beach which is why we go, can't beat the view. We camped at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in a Motorhome.

I-75 RV Park, Tifton, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, ez on/off. As noted earlier use the 2nd entrance, esp. if you're towing. Front row has sewage hook ups in front, back row has sewage hook ups in the back, so if you've got a big rig and are towing you definitely want the front row. This is great for an overnight stay where you don't want to unhook. Owners were very nice and very helpful. We'd stay here again. We camped at I-75 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Riverside Campground & Resort, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

We really love this park. It's well maintained and the perfect distance away from all the activity in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We stayed here 2 weeks and look forward to returning. We camp in a 40' motorhome with tow. The roads are wide enough and set up so that there's no need to unhook. Great wifi, cable and FHU. Staff are very friendly. We camped at Riverside Campground & Resort in a Motorhome.

Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort, Narvon, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Pricey park in the woods. Nice for family's....not so much for couples. Supposed to give one free night for every seven; something they won't mention to you on the phone. We stayed for 12 and we paid for 12 so go figure. Neatly kept park with plenty for the kids. Not particularly big rig friendly, but doable. Some nice shady spots; bring the bug spray. Off the beaten path so plan on driving at least 20-30 minutes to attractions. Nice get away campground. We camped at Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Artillery Ridge Campground, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice campground. Nothing fancy, but everything worked on our FHU, wifi was excellent, picnic table was the best we've had this year! Lots of horses, but no odors detected. Quiet and spacious site. Very convenient to downtown Gettysburg. They do have a pool, laundry and mini golf. Lots of stuff going on to entertain kids. We camped here in a 40' motorhome with truck tow. We camped at Artillery Ridge Campground in a Motorhome.

Candy Hill Campground, Winchester, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here 2 nights. Nice clean campground. Had a pull-through that was just long enough for our motorhome and tow. Kind of a strange set up for pull-throughs, but it worked. Staff was nice, good camp store. They need to put up a sign when you turn onto Ward Ave. Once you make the turn don't panic, there actually is a campground at the end of the road! Turns were tight but doable. We'd stay here again. We camped at Candy Hill Campground in a Motorhome.

Charlotte / Fort Mill KOA, Fort Mill, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

First time staying here. Check in was at gas station as mentioned in previous reviews. Friendly staff at check in, no problems. Plenty of space to pull your rig at entrance to campground while checking in, although the distance to the gas station could be a problem for folks who have troubles walking. Our site was FHU with 50 amp, back in. We had disconnected at the entrance since we had a back in site. Roads are narrow but easily negotiated. Ample room to back in, everything worked, lots of cable stations to choose from if it's raining! Will stay here again. We camp in a 40' motorhome with truck tow, plenty of space at site. We camped at Charlotte / Fort Mill KOA in a Motorhome.

Pecan Park RV Resort, Jacksonville, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is undergoing serious renovations. There were no restroom/showers available but they did have temporary stations set up. We had no need to use them so couldn't say how well they worked. The sites are all pull through. We camped in 40' motor home towing a truck. I suggest disconnecting before going to your site. FHP worked well plenty of cable stations and yes lots of airplane noise, but you tune it out pretty quickly. Great overnight stop. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.
