Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails), Clermont, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This is a VERY old campground. Roads and sites are paved, but sites pavement is very old, crumbling and full of pot holes. Electric box is rusting badly. Pools, rec-room, store and ranger station are very nice and well maintained, but the grounds need major work. Mostly sand with a few weeds and plenty of fire ants. Speed bumps are pervasive throughout the park. Big rigs don't like speed bumps. I even had to back over one while backing into my site. I hope this park is not the average for TT preserves. We will never stay here again. We will stay at a park 5 miles from here. We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Motorhome.

Crystal Isles Resort, Crystal River, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent park! We had a canal site. Nice paved site. Canal access with a dock right on the site. Tennis courts, shuffle board courts, breakfast at the rec-room on weekends for $5. Ice cream shop, my favorite. This is definitely the best park we have stayed at, and we will be back. Only downer was the county imposed a burn ban, so no campfire. WiFi $$$. We camped at Crystal Isles Resort in a Motorhome.
