While not in the exact downtown Pendleton area, it was close enough to work out for us as an overnight stop. Very nice pool. Shuttle to the casino was frequent. Good hookups functioned properly.

Burns RV Park

Burns, Oregon

Date of Stay:

Perfect overnight stay. Friendly camp hosts. Our site near the highway was a bit noisy, but doable.

What a gem! After a long day of driving, we were able to nicely relax at Juniper. Although a tad windy the day we were there, the service and landscape totally overshadow it. We fished, watched the cows being rounded up. Nice size sites and some shade trees circle the park.

Arnie is a cool RV Camp host. He treated us like family. Good service, perfect location for an overnight or exploring the area. Although a tad dusty, overall we would return here if in the area.

Hidden gem. Will return here again when passing through. Easy access, plenty of shade, and fun, helpful camp hosts. Perfect location.

As with most Oregon State Parks, everything was in working order, with plenty of room. Our site was near the cabins. Adequate shading. Great camp hosts. Camp hosts were very helpful and friendly.

Overall good for our one night stay. Only issue was that we were assigned a non shaded site. It was a hot day, and no one was servicing the office when we checked in, and we didn't want to wait. Otherwise we would have requested a different site.

Date of Stay:

This park is overrated and over priced, compared to other parks we've been to. Access is challenging near check in time due to wait on highway. Roads in disrepair. Water everywhere even when not raining. Duck and goose poop all over. It is in a beautiful area with close proximity to wineries and brewery. Ok for overnight, but not a destination. Very tight and narrow spaces with no privacy. Noisy. Lots of weekenders here. Good TV selection. Internet is better than most campgrounds these days.

Very convenient location for exploring nearby areas. Although no sewer hookup it was adequate for 3 night stay. A lot of trees have been removed since the last time. The remaining trees dropped a lot of sap on our equipment and selves. Water hookups leaked, which would be a concern during this drought. Overall would return here again. Sites are spacious and include fire ring. Wifi is inadequate on weekends due to volume of campers.

Although no discounts are offered, the location and amenities speak for themselves. The best wifi we have ever had at ANY park. Cable channels limited - no national news like cnn or fox. Very clean campground. Easy access on gravel. Good hookup location. The venue is blocked from the wind, a giant plus for this area.

Perfect location for attending nearby wedding. Easy access on gravel, level sites. Not many other choices in the area and we were pleasantly surprised by this venue. Would return again. No wifi or TV hookup. Ok reception using antenna.

Date of Stay:

Very convenient and "safe" location. The park is mainly mobile homes with an area designated for RVs. Excellent pool facility. Excellent WiFi in lobby area. Many snowbirds were leaving for the summer.

Overnight stay exceeded our expectations. We were placed in a spot that backed up to a wall of a large empty field. The local undesirable population that hung out there was a distraction, but we had no problems with them. If not for that, I would have rated this park a 9. The park was very clean. The staff very friendly. It did get windy at times, which seems common for the area.

The biggest downside to the Bidwell Canyon campground is that the reservations are not site specific. They are first come first served. For larger rigs that limits the number of spaces significantly when travelling in a group. Upon calling, we informed the park we needed sites together for our group. They indicated they would mark our reservations as such and to just park a car on the site we wanted to save. On this particular stay, instead of quieting down noisy campers and speeding cars, the park police chose to make us move our car from the saved spot. Then, they gave away the spot closest to us to another camper. For the price being charged, system needs to be changed to allow site specific reservations. In addition, fire ring is way to close to the allowed trailer area. Not enough room to set chairs around the fire ring. Not walking distance to the water due to drought. No AT&T reception. No TV reception.

Date of Stay:

The park is overpriced. We were disappointed in that for what we paid we expected a higher level park. The hookups at the site we were in were awkwardly placed so that the truck would not clear the road regardless of parking in front or back. Some people parked their vehicles right on the narrow park road making it difficult to navigate. One site obviously did not have a restriction on the number of people occupying it. It seemed like someone was operating a day care out of their trailer and kids blocking the road playing. This park is better suited for very young families. There were way too many workers out and about constantly spraying chemicals on sites and tending to the grass. Lawnmowers were very noisy.
