Court Square RV Park , Mountain View, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This Rv park is located about 2 blocks from the courthouse square. Easy walking distance. The owners were very friendly and extremely accommodating. We were directed to our site, allowed to get set up and then the owner came to us for sign-in and payment. Most sites are more grass than gravel. A refundable deposit was necessary for the cable which was great. The wifi signal was very strong, the best we had had our entire trip. We will return to thus rv park. We camped at Court Square RV Park in a Motorhome.

Visit P.J.'s Rainbow Cafe for good home cooking. Small shops in the downtown area. Visit in April for the annual Folk Festival or October For the Bean Cookoff and Outhouse Races. Lots of fun and wonderful musician. Don't miss Aunt Minnie's Little Yellow House, a neat shop with great owners. Of course, the Ozark Folk Center should not be missed.

All About Relaxing RV Park, Theodore, Alabama

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the best RV Parks we have ever experienced Very warm welcome from owners, Jimmy & Angela Law. As we arrived a big storm was coming in from the Gulf and the owners had started their emergency plan for bad weather. We were escorted to our gravel site which was level with concrete patio and picnic table. The Laws opened their office and warehouse building as shelter from the storm. They provided comfortable seating, food, drink and television to follow the weather broadcasts. We took shelter with the owners, other RVers and their pets to ride out the storm. Thankfully, no RVs or the park suffered any damage. This park is brand new with great attention to detail. The owners are RVers so they designed a park that should meet most of the needs of RVers. The laundry/bathhouse is brand new, well designed and beautiful. New washing machines and dryers costing $1.25 per load. The pool is sparkling and very clean. Pavilions have been built to resemble a front porch for relaxing with community BBQ grill. Swings and hammocks are available under the trees for resting and relaxing. The park was beautifully decorated for spring and Easter. The owners have really worked hard to provide a restful and beautiful setting and are continuing to upgrade their park. We will not hesitate to return to this rv park. We camped at All About Relaxing RV Park in a Motorhome.

Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground), St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

New owners are really making a difference in this park. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and escorted to our site. Our site, gravel, was very level and we had no problems setting up. We were in the back of the first section which was a little tight, but we were comfortable and the site worked for us. All utilities worked well. Since this is a good sized park, there are several bathhouses and laundry rooms. The laundry room closest to our site was like new. All new washing machines and dryers performed well, but a little high at $2.25 a load. But I was willing to pay for new, clean machines. I did not use the restrooms or showers but my husband did and he rated them very clean. We enjoyed the community bonfire and weekly singing. We were so pleased with this rv park we extended our stay here from 5 to 10 days. The park is centrally located to shopping and only takes about 15 minutes to get to the historical downtown. The owners are constantly upgrading this park. Some sites have concrete patios and nice landscaping. We were told that gradually all patios will be concrete. The dog park was located very close to our site and convenient for exercising our pet. The day we left a light was being installed in the dog park. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A must do in St Augustine is the trolley ride. You can buy tickets in the park office and a shuttle will come pick you up Take the tour of Flagler College. It is worth the price. There are so many things to do and see in this great city. If you have a 4x4 vehicle, a ride on the beach is a must and lots of fun. You can take your pets to this beach.

Tallahassee East Campground , Monticello, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Former KOA campground, borders I-10 interstate. Sites are packed sand with no patio but a picnic table and good length. Campground is in bad shape. Pool was a mess. Leaves were everywhere. Evident that there was no groundskeeper on duty while we were there. A complementary breakfast was served but the gentlemen in the office was too busy watching program on his computer to speak with us. Quite a few older RVs there, possibly monthly rentals. Probably will pass up this campground on future trips. There are other campgrounds in the area. We stayed here since our first choice park was full. Overnight stop only. We camped at Tallahassee East Campground in a Motorhome.

Pensacola RV Park, Pensacola, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Office staff very friendly and led you to your site. Clean grounds. Pull-thru site was very level. Gravel site with paver patio and picnic table. Not a destination park but good overnight stop. Saw lots of RVs without vehicles so I assume they were residents or weekend camping rentals. Close to restaurants and shopping areas. We camped at Pensacola RV Park in a Motorhome.

Creekwood Resort Campground & Cabins, Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small (17 sites) RV Resort with cabins. Owners are very nice, friendly and extremely helpful. You are guided to your site and helped with back-in. There is one way in and out so you have no traffic except your RV neighbors. All roads are paved and individual pads are concrete and very level. We had no trouble leveling our motorhome. Cable and WiFi are available and were good, although signal was sometimes weak. This park is out of the business of Helen, but close enough to many of the area attractions. All hookups worked great, We were very happy with our stay at Creekwood and would return again. We camped at Creekwood Resort Campground & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Pine Mountain RV Resort, Pine Mountain, Georgia

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was very helpful. Escort to site was helpful. Our site, 75, in the treed area was not that good. The site is a pull thru, very little gravel, lots of dirt. We had to use blocks to level. This site is on the end of a row and is next to a well traveled road. No defined patio, but a picnic table is provided. The worst part of this site is the closeness to the road. I felt I was too close to the road for safety while sitting outside. With our bedroom slide out I felt as if our bedroom was in the road. In my opinion, this site should be eliminated due to closeness to the road. It would be entirely inappropriate for a family with children. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pagosa Riverside Campground, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Owner has been in business for a very long time. She is a very nice lady. Really liked this park. Our pull thru was located right on the river and was very level with a little shade and picnic table. Major renovations were being done while we were there but construction noise did not bother us. Did not use any of the facilities while we were there. We stayed here at the recommendation of friends and we were not disappointed. We would stay again. We camped at Pagosa Riverside Campground in a Motorhome.

Four Seasons RV Resort, Salida, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This park needs a lot of work. The roads are mostly dirt and very much in need of gravel. You can tell they were gravel at one time. While our site was level with shade, the electrical hookups are horrible, in need of a major upgrade. I was afraid we would have some type of damage to our rig since the hookups were so old and outdated, but thankfully we did not. Did not use the shower or restroom facilities. The laundry room had five washing machines and two were out of order. The room was in need of a cleaning and smelled of a dead animal. The general appearance of the park was bad, there were dead hanging plants and all buildings and fences could use a good coat of paint. I would think twice about staying here again because of the electrical hookups. The rate charged is entirely too much for what you get. Only good thing about this park is the view of the river. We camped at Four Seasons RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Delta Ridge RV Park, Inc., Forrest City, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Owner is very friendly and attentive to your needs. Pull-in sites are gravel and level. We had plenty of room for the RV and car that we tow. Restaurant, grocery store, and other businesses were within walking distance. No restroom, shower, or laundry facilities at this time. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. Great place for overnight stay or a few days if you are touring the area. We camped at Delta Ridge RV Park, Inc. in a Motorhome.

Mountain View RV Resort, Canon City, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects a Passport America discount, which the owners did not really want to honor. They do not like Passport America. Nice clean park, all pull thrus. Our site did not have cable or sewer since we were PA. Other sites were premium with full hookups for which you paid a premium price. Good place to stay while touring the area. Very clean well maintained park. We would stay again. We camped at Mountain View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overnite RV Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park for an overnight stay or more for sightseeing in Amarillo. Very nice people in the office. Propane is available at this park also. Our site was a pull thru with shade and picnic table and grill. However we did not cook outside due to the high winds. The park staff was busy working on getting the pool ready for the season. We would stay here again. We camped at Overnite RV Park in a Motorhome.

United Campground of Durango, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We really liked this campground. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Gave good suggestions for sightseeing and touring Durango. All sites are pull thrus and level, with shade trees and a picnic table. We were on the last row next to the railroad tracks. The Durango-Silverton train went back twice a day and was not a bother at all. Our front windows looked out over the tracks and the tent area where deer gathered every afternoon. This area of Colorado is beautiful and this campground is very well maintained. The laundry facilities were excellent. All machines worked well and facilities were very clean. Did not use the bathroom facilities. We would not hesitate to stay at this campground again. Many things to do in and around Durango. We camped at United Campground of Durango in a Motorhome.

Branson Treehouse Adventures (formerly Acorn Acres RV Park & Villas), Branson West, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second visit in the last 12 months. This park just keeps getting better. We were parked in a back-in gravel site. We had plenty of room for our 34 foot rig, with room to park our tow car. Park owner and his staff are wonderful. They escort you to your site and help you get backed in. Restrooms and laundry facilities very clean. Good shade and overall the park is very clean. Activities were planned for the campers for the Memorial Weekend. Park is located close to attractions, Silver Dollar City, Walmart and grocery stores. Entry is a little tricky due to being on a hill and oncoming traffic is a little hard to see. But this is only a small problem in my opinion. We will return to this RV park anytime we are in Branson. We camped at Branson Treehouse Adventures (formerly Acorn Acres RV Park & Villas) in a Motorhome.
