Yegua Creek COE, Somerville, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

First, the positive - our site, #26, had a great view of the lake. It was reasonably level. There were lots of deer and other wildlife. Restrooms were clean. Its a good central location for visiting a lot of places important to Texas history, like Indepence.
The not so positive: abundance of stickers (grassburrs). Inadequate signage. Gravel/dirt parking pads (we sank down when it rained). Sites too close together. Many had no view other than their neighbors RV. Some sites have grills, some just have fire rings. We camped at Yegua Creek COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Dana Peak COE, Harker Heights, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We really liked this park. The lake is very pretty, and most of the sites are right on the water. It's true there's no shade, and the showers are kind of far away. And we only saw 2 or 3 pull throughs. But the sites are level, and real easy to back into. And we liked the feeling of being in the country, but still near city amenities. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Dana Peak COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Ozark View RV Park, Omaha, Arkansas

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

New owner was very friendly and helpful. He has a lot of work to do on this park, but it's a beautiful site, and he is doing a good job of getting it set up. In the meantime, it is very quiet and peaceful: a nice contrast to the Branson chaos, yet not too far away. We really enjoyed our stay here, and will stay again. We camped at Ozark View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Texoma Shore Resort, Madill, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This is an old fishing camp, not many activities for the kids. But the staff are all nice and helpful, there is a nice little swimming beach, and it is a very pretty, peaceful little park. As Ocean Canyon members, we paid nothing to stay here. Wi-Fi was not working while we were here, but they said it would be running any day. We camped at Texoma Shore Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Terra Starr RV Park, Checotah, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Not a destination park, but not bad for a night or two. We enjoyed the pool. Wi-Fi was very weak. Nice little laundry room. Two washers and two dryers. Rate was through Coast to Coast, with a $4.50 additional charge for 50 amp. We camped at Terra Starr RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
