Rate cited reflects Passport America discount. This park was a pleasant surprise. It was immaculate with very friendly folks taking care of it. The sites are all gravel and level. FHU, cable, and Wi-Fi. Lots of grass. A beautiful stream running behind the park. All in the NC mountains with gorgeous views. Close to restaurants and shopping. We stopped for one night, but will come back for more.

Rate is with the senior pass. Beautiful wooded COE park in the NC mountains. Forest-like atmosphere with hiking trails. The park is on the water, but there are little or no sites with a water view. When we were there, the beach and boat ramp were closed due to high water. Very, very limited OTA TV and slow Verizon signal, but usable. Restaurants and shopping within 10 miles. This is a beautiful area of NC with attractions nearby and several wineries within a short drive. We will return.

Rate cited reflects Passport America discount. Nice campground close to I-40. We had FHU with cable for a great rate. Some of the sites were close together and some were not quite long enough for the big rigs. All sites are pull through. The park is reminiscent of a KOA and may have been one in the past. The owners were friendly and accommodating. Plenty of shopping close by. We will return.

Rate paid is the weekly rate. We really liked this campground. It is right off I-65 so there is some traffic noise, but it didn't bother us at all. We stopped for 1 night and stayed for 2 weeks. The grounds are very nicely cared for, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We had good Verizon signal and 5 snowy cable channels (Nashville locals), but it was better than nothing off our OTA antenna. We found it is an easier trip into Franklin to see family than any other area around Nashville. Much, much less traffic and a straight shot on I-65. We will definitely return the next time we're in the area.

Rate paid was with the federal senior pass. This is another of those wonderful COE parks. We had a site right on the water and the views were terrific. The park personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. Nice spacious concrete pads. Very limited OTA TV signal. Good Verizon signal. The only thing that would make this park better would be sewer hookups. We will definitely return.

We hesitated to stop here when the latest review was several years old, but we thought we'd take a chance when we needed an overnight stop. The rate we paid was with the senior pass so I hesitate to complain. $14 for water and electric is not bad. It is clear this campground has gone downhill since the 2007 reviews though. The sites are dirt and all run together. There are not many that can accommodate our 40' size. There were overflowing garbage cans at each site. I will say that the young man working was very pleasant and helpful and seemed distressed that he couldn't get all the garbage picked up while attending to his other duties as well. He was all alone. If we were smaller, I think we'd probably use this park again in transit. Due to our size, I doubt we will.

Date of Stay:

Easy off, easy on I-10. Perfect overnight spot if in transit. Sites are large and paved, clean, FHU, cable and wifi. No frills, but a good, safe overnighter. Gas station and McDonalds next door.

Rate paid was with PA discount. This is a nice little overnight park right off I-10, easy in, easy out. The owners are very friendly. The site we were given was in the front, close to the office, all grass with FHU. The park was nicely mowed and very clean. The only noise was from traffic on I-10 but we weren't bothered by that. We'd definitely stop again if in the area.

This park was a major disappointment. We chose it based on earlier reviews but things were not as we expected. We have stayed in other city parks before and always found them clean, well-managed and navigable. Not so with this park. It was difficult to even tell where the sites were located. Nothing was marked well. Everything was tight and cramped and we had to use 2 other spaces just to get out of the site we finally got into. My guess is that this park was built many years before anyone realized that an RV would be longer than 18-20 feet, but no one wanted to turn away the business so they welcome all. We will definitely not return.

We used this as an overnight stop and, as such, it worked OK, but I'd never stay longer than overnight. This park is mostly permanents with tight, cramped spaces. The trees need major trimming. The lady in the office was very pleasant and helpful, however. Nothing at all special. We will probably not return.

Rate is with federal Senior Pass. We absolutely loved this campground. We stayed in the newly remodeled loop and had FHU w/50 amp. It was wonderful. The sites are all paved and spacious. Some are on the river. A couple very short walking trails but the paved roads through the park offer plenty of walking space. We had good Verizon signal and several OTA TV signals. We wouldn't stay anywhere else when we're in this area!

Rate is with the federal senior pass. Beautiful COE campground! We had one of the large 50 amp sites (site 5) right on the lake. It was perfect. Even though the lake was low, we were able to launch our kayak right from our site and paddle the beautiful lake. The park was quiet; everyone respectful of others. No walking trails but plenty of paved road area to walk. We would definitely return.

Rate is with senior pass. This COE park has to be in our top 10 favorite parks. The park is well managed, well cared for, and beautiful. It's a little tight getting a big rig in, but it is doable and well worth the effort. Beautiful lake, nice shady sites, good 50 amp electric. There are several short walking trails throughout the park, a nice boat ramp and a beautiful day use area with swimming beach. There is good Verizon 3G signal and a limited number of OTA TV channels. This park is a gem! We will return.

Beautiful COE park. Rate quoted is with senior pass. Heavily wooded, very private sites. Most will accommodate a big rig. Only 30 amp but because of the heavy shade it was adequate to keep the coach cool. Take on water before parking. Water is available at the dump station at the entrance and there are a couple other faucets around the campground. Over-the-air TV signal was poor. We were able to pull in one station but it would pixelate frequently. Very, very weak Verizon 3G even using our amp and external antenna. Even with these drawbacks, this was a very nice campground and we'd definitely return.

Date of Stay:

Not a destination park, but certainly more than adequate for an overnight or two. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a 50 amp pull through with FHU at the PA rate of $20. There is a bar and restaurant upstairs from the office/store. They are open 4-10 daily and serve a varied menu at very reasonable prices. We'd stay here again.
