Baileys Grove Campground, Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Again--A nice campground with many well-spaced sites, good location, and one of the better Wi-FI services. BUT if you plan to take a shower in the bath house, be prepared. There is no way to control the temperature of the water--just timers on the wall. The water might be warm or cool or deviate as you shower. They used to have coin operated showers and replaced the mechanism with a timer but did nothing to the mixing valve. If you want a showering adventure, be prepared. We camped at Baileys Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

Gunnison KOA, Gunnison, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Grassy sites. We had a view of the small lakes on site. Clean showers, good Wi-Fi, close to town. A good choice for large or small RVs. We camped at Gunnison KOA in a Motorhome.

Cedar Creek RV Park, Montrose, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park. Since it was designed in the 1960s make sure you request a larger site if you are over 35'. Good Wi-Fi, very clean showers, nice owners. We camped at Cedar Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

4J+1+1 RV Park & Campground, Ouray, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

The park is riverside, but if you have a large MH or fifth wheel with multiple slide-outs it would be best to request a larger pull-through. If you have small kids, pick a spot away from the river. If you have a dog, keep him on a lease and away from the grassy area near the river. That area is for the folks to view the river, not to get their shoes "fertilized." I would have given the park a "ten" if there was hot water available in the showers and if cable TV was available to the sites, not just the TV room. (The staff seemed a little indifferent about the luke-warm water in the showers two nights in a row) We camped at 4J+1+1 RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Pagosa Riverside Campground, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This was our third stay at Pagosa Riverside. It is convenient to town and the people are friendly and business-like. The road noise is barely audible especially if you are camped on or near the river. I highly recommend this campground. We camped at Pagosa Riverside Campground in a Motorhome.

United Campground of Durango, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

The United Campground provided ample room for my 33' motorhome with two slides. A big bonus was the free trolly that went to town each day starting at 7:00 AM. The only minus in the whole park--which is common in so many RV parks--is the moldy, soiled shower curtains. (All park managers should be forced to shower in their own RV park facilities once a week) The trains going through the middle of the park each day was a hoot. We camped at United Campground of Durango in a Motorhome.

South Fork Campground, South Fork, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

The people here are tremendous. The battery in my Jeep died and the owners drove me to the nearest place to get a replacement. Such service! Even though South Fork Campground does not have cable TV, there is plenty to do outside the RV. We camped at South Fork Campground in a Motorhome.
