Downtown Riverside RV Park, North Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Made a reservation that morning (as per PA requirements) and was told I'd have a site. Upon arriving, as different person was at the desk who said they had absolutely no spaces. I repeated my morning conversation and asked that she contact the person I'd talked to...said it wouldn't make any difference. Finally gave up, as I was heading to my vehicle she came running out, saying "I have a spot for you." What the... Put me in a spot beside the dumpster and needed 3 hoses to reach the water. Park was ok, but under construction and a lot of construction debris. Might change my mind with a another visit, but don't think it's worth it. Saw at least 3 other sites, in a nicer area, that were empty from the time I arrived until the time I left. We camped at Downtown Riverside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Sun Valley Campground, Chillicothe, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Camped here with a group. Most of us parked in the field with water/electric (and no cable). A few used the FHU sites. Understand previous reviewers comments about trees, as several of our group encountered them with their campers when the CG personnel asked them to 'scoot over' a few feet. Main word of advice...see where you're going to park and do what you feel is best. The woman parking us didn't seem to understand where/what we needed in size and location and getting set up, then being told to move, is incredibly annoying. Clean park, convenient to Chiillicothe's tourist sites. Several of us also had electric issues which repeatedly tripped surge protectors. Would also recommend you have one. Big outdoor light on pole outside my camper went on and off all night. We camped at Sun Valley Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Frontier Campground, Waynesville, Ohio

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here with a group, Loners on Wheels. Owner was friendly, patient and accommodating. Used the lodge (part of group package) so had wonderful inside fireplace to get out of the rainy, cold weather. In spite of rain, sites not muddy or under water. Getting ready to open lots of activities for children. Nice playground, in-ground pool and will have lots of weekend activities. Bath house and bathrooms were spotless; firewood very reasonable. Our group definitely plans to stay here again. Nicest park with fairly close access to Museum of the US Air Force. Close to Waynesville restaurants and shops and can easily get into Cincinnati. We camped at Frontier Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Meadow Lake Park, Wooster, Ohio

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Here with group that got group discount. Fifty amp sites are more expensive. Friendly campground. Lots of trees, but some access for satellite. All roads paved. Shower house in trailer, coin operated. Multiple dump stations. Near large dairy operation which can create unpleasant odor. Sites large and clean. Well maintained park. Would stay here again. We camped at Meadow Lake Park in a Travel Trailer.

Mohican State Park, Loudonville, Ohio

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This campground gets crazy busy during the summer and on special event fall weekends, but was only about half full when we stayed here. This makes a world of difference because it's a beautiful park. Had peaceful site across from the flowing water. Bathhouse was clean and usually empty. Flat roads for bikes with trail to town (about 3 miles). Got good Verizon service, both phone and MIFI. As with other OH parks, limited staff available...have to register and drop in box when store not open. Park entry never attended, so park stands open all day/night. Most sites are electric only with water available to fill tanks. A few full hookup, but more expensive. Rate reflects Golden Buckeye discount (also accept Passport America). We camped at Mohican State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Deer Meadow Campground, Cooksburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park. Camped with a group in area with full hookups. Rate is for 7 days. Clean bath houses, lovely open field for kids/pets to play. Very family friendly. Parents good about supervising children all around the campground. Would definitely stay here again. Campsites deceptively not level, so will need to level. Also sewer connection missing threaded piece, so everyone used duct tape to keep the hose connected. Nice pool. Close to Cooks Forest and there is a good restaurant across the street, Trail's End. We camped at Deer Meadow Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Woodchip Campground, Byron Center, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Close to Grand Rapids. Very family friendly..great playground. Lot of seasonals. Many daily sites border the playground which gets very loud but does quiet down well at night. CG entry would be very tricky for large rigs..sharp right/left turn just as you come off the main road. My site was difficult to back into...tree on both sides and car parked on the road (and owner just sat in a chair and watched me struggle). As I was next to corner sites, I had two rigs back right up to my awning/picnic table. Strange water/electric. Water shared by up to 3 sites and was in front/right, while electric was way in the back/left. Stayed here to attend the AQS Quilt Show, so worked well for that. We camped at Woodchip Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Stay here every year for the annual AQS Quilt Show. Owners very friendly/helpful. Wi-Fi is spotty, but had good Verizon broadband reception. Too many trees for the satellite. Restroom is old but spotless and washer/dryer available. Price reflects Good Sam discount. We camped at Fern Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.
