About Tr!c!

Hi my name is Tricia. On a whim we bought a motorhome while heading to a half marathon. I run and have convinced my husband to run as well. We travel to as many races as we can in our MH called the Dutchess. She is the best investment we've made so far. We both have full-time jobs and 2 teenagers and we RV on the weekends. I blog at MissSippiPiddlin.com about our adventures and races.

Two Rivers Campground, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We were in town to run in the Rock n Roll half marathon. It was our first time to this park and to Nashville. This park was nice, the spots were close but we had no problems with space for us in our 1 slide, 31' MH. We did not tow a vehicle. I did not use the facilities but did go in and noted how clean it was. I liked that it was next to a Camping World and just a short Uber drive or had we had our bikes a short ride to Opry Mills, Grand Old Opry an other things right in the area. We did go downtown to Broadway and Uber rides were about $13-30 even with a surge price on race day. They have shuttles from the park but we didn't partake. I think what sets this place apart was the very friendly customer service. During check-in they took a great deal of time to help us with entertainment and places to visit. There is a pool, no hot tub that I could see, and the camp store had a pretty good stock of things. We would stay here again. We camped at Two Rivers Campground in a Motorhome.

French Quarter RV Resort, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $92.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here numerous times, what keeps us coming back is the resort type amenities and the proximity to the things we like to do and see while in New Orleans. I guess to each it's own but for us the 4 block walk is nothing. Nine times out of 10 we are here to run in a marathon anyway. We do not have to tow our car when we visit here because of it too. If you are hesitant to walk straight to the French Quarter via St. Louis then follow Basin street the 3 blocks to Canal.

Do check the rates as they go up depending on the different events. They are clearly listed so you should not be surprised if you check. I know it is a matter of supply and demand but I do dislike when a certain event jacks up the price one weekend when the next will be half that rate.

The staff has always been very professional and friendly. We will continue to stay here when in the New Orleans area. We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The first time we stayed here, before Uber we took a taxi and now that Uber is around that is the way to go. Make sure to visit the welcome center on the same block, for things to do in the area, there is even a shuttle from it.
