Grayton Beach State Park, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida

Nice beach but a small park. Site for my MH was tight. Not a bad place to stay. We camped at Grayton Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Topsail Hill State Preserve, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2007 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Definitely the most expensive State Park I have stayed in but one of the nicest. It was once a private park and ours was surrounded by vegetation and had a park lamp which made it homey. They even allow washing on site or there is a guy that comes around with a power washer (we washed it ourselves). Nice, clean and only a short walk or bike ride to the white sand beach. Definitely a place to stay. We will return. We camped at Topsail Hill State Preserve in a Motorhome.

Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park, Saint George Island, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2007 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

I really hate to give this park a 10 rating because I don't want it to get crowded. Sites were sandy but plenty of room for both the MH and car. Do what they say about keeping your dog on a short leash because of gators. Close to the beach which is incredible. You can here the surf while outside. This place is my favorite. We camped at Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park in a Motorhome.

Homosassa River Carefree RV Resort (formerly Turtle Creek), Homosassa Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2007 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Not a bad place to stay. We were there under Passport America. Close to the wildlife preserve which is what we wanted. Sites were rather small but were OK. A few days into our stay we found Crystal River which was a Encore park that was about the same price. I would probably stay there next time. Don't get me wrong, Turtle Creek was not bad at all. We camped at Homosassa River Carefree RV Resort (formerly Turtle Creek) in a Motorhome.

Ponderosa RV Park, Kissimmee, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2007 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed there under Passport America so price had a lot to do with it. Park was clean and people nice. Not in the best area but we felt safe. Not a far drive to Disney and roads were good. Wi-Fi costs but not bad. The downer is we backed up to the turnpike but it was warm so as long as we ran the a/c we were fine. We would go back. We camped at Ponderosa RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mt. Pleasant / Charleston KOA, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2007 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed there under Passport America while visiting friends who were also staying there. We were very satisfied and would return. Wi-Fi was hit and miss but usually got a signal. Only drawback was the dirt road that will get your MH dirty. Definitely recommend. We camped at Mt. Pleasant / Charleston KOA in a Motorhome.

Tiffin Motorhomes Service Area (For Service Customers Only), Red Bay, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

As everyone has said this is mainly for Tiffin owners and there is certainly not much to do there. You will hear engines early as they start before 7:00. Eat at Swamp Johns and Piggly Wiggly. The office people are exceptionally nice. Great place to stop over but no not be surprised if they are full because they mostly are. Tiffin employees are the best and a tour is a must. We camped at Tiffin Motorhomes Service Area (For Service Customers Only) in a Motorhome.

Lake Hamilton RV Resort, Hot Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

The best I have to say is it has a good location right on the lake and the pool, restrooms and showers are clean. Negative-the owner is a grouch and has run off all the good workampers. Grass is growing on the gravel pads and along the far side it is very high. Pads are narrow and it may be hard to put out the awning if you have a neighbor. Not much space for your tow vehicle or dingy. Make sure your dog can make it to the far west side or you may be asked to leave. I would pass unless you are staying a very short time. We camped at Lake Hamilton RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort, Panama City Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2004 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

I will admit that I am new to this site, but when I read the reviews for this CG I actually went back to see if I was looking at the correct site. We stayed there for a few days and when we arrived late one night we were met by the security guard and told him we did not have reservations but were tired (it was about 10:30). This fine gentleman led us to our site which was a pull thru (he said he put us there because it was late and it would be easier for us), held a flashlight while I hooked up utilities then said just keep the toad behind the RV on the pad. A lot of people said that some get treated different because of the motorhome they drive and in some cases I agree. We have a 1995 Allegro Bay and the security guard had a really nice diesel pusher. We were treated very well and went to a movie there in the clubhouse and had free popcorn and sodas. At one point while my wife and I were shopping, my college football fight song went off and the man next to us pushed his remote to deactivate mine but instead his started as well. This must have been really annoying and he ended up unhooking mine. I said all this to say no one ever complained, not management or anyone else. In fact, the management laughed. My only complaint was they did not have a t-shirt in my size. We camped at Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort in a Motorhome.
