Carrollwoods RV Campground, Tabor City, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This place is way out in the country. Very poor cell-phone connection. The owners say they have Wi-Fi, but they don't. Interior roads are difficult to navigate. Utility layout is poor. Golf is close by. Shopping is at least 20 minutes away. No restaurants in the area. No real reason to come here unless you want peace and quiet. We camped at Carrollwoods RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Americus KOA (formerly Brickyard Plantation Golf Club & RV Park), Americus, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

For a "golf resort", this place leaves a lot to be desired. We understand Georgia is in a drought, but come on: at least water the greens. The RV park is really basic. AND not close to the golf course. Most of the resort parks we have stayed in, you can rent a golf cart for your stay. Not here. The course is expensive if you add in your rent for the RV. Other courses in the area are much better maintained and cheaper. The town of Americus is charming and the people are friendly. Don't forget to see Andersonvills National Cemetary. We camped at Americus KOA (formerly Brickyard Plantation Golf Club & RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.
