Very nice level site with plenty of privacy. Laundry could use a spruce up, half the washers were out of order, but otherwise near perfect. It was a 15 minute walk to the Gulf. Very nice! We'll return.

Loved it and will return. Magnificent views, Convenient to Colorado Springs, yet plenty of wilderness nature trails for the hiking enthusiast. Immaculate with clean showers and restrooms. Buy the annual pass and avoid the additional $7.00 a day park fees.

As with most Colorado State Parks, this is great, love them all and bought the annual pass for $75.00 which eliminates the need for $7.00 a day park fee. Although the G and F loops have full hookups, I prefer the B Loop at Dakota Terraces in the Dutch Charlie area with electric only because of the view of the mountains. We will return!

Although the showers and restrooms were clean and the people in the office were friendly, this place was dusty with horse stables next to us, and a junky camper that looked like a permanent fixture a few sites down. Probably will look elsewhere next time through.

This is the best KOA in the whole USA in my opinion. We have stayed here 4 years in a row on our way across Kansas. They keep the restrooms spotless as well as the grounds and camping area. Nice shade, pool, playground, etc. The breakfast is superb! Keep up the great job and we'll be back soon!

Very nice stay in a peaceful location. The Pourdre river was right behind, and wonderful to listen to with the window open at night. The office staff, general store, and restaurant were great! My only improvement suggestion would be "bear proof" the dumpsters as we seemed to have a nightly visitor. I will definitely stay again when I want a peaceful spot to get away from it all.

Very nice setting along the lake, very friendly camp hosts, and sparkling restrooms/showers. They really take good care of this place, I will return.

This park has great potential. The person who checked it in was very friendly and helpful. But it's very dusty and barren. A little paving, some grass, and clean up the junky areas could make it go from satisfactory to great. Restrooms/showers were nicely maintained. Will probably stay again passing through.

This is an outstanding park. We only stayed overnight passing through, but the large pull-through sites with concrete pads, friendly staff, and sparkling showers restrooms made it worthwhile. We'll definitely stay again when in Amarillo--the best in town, it looks like.

This is not a bad park, but there is room for improvement. Most of the workers were very friendly and the pool and clubhouse looked very nice. This biggest drawback is that the site next to us (site F--we were in site F1) is too small for even a pop up, and the group of 6 in it were too close for comfort. Recommend use site F for a rock or flower garden. Also for $37 a night, I would expect at least a concrete pad. Shower/restrooms were clean, but getting decrepit and could use some remodel. Despite the opportunities for improvement, we will probably stay again.

This is a very nice park. Staff is friendly and helpful, and proximity to the beaches and sleeping to the sound of the ocean surf at night is great! The only reasons I gave it an 8 is because of the flooding when it rains, the whole interior of loop E becomes a "lake". Also, the shower/restrooms at loop E are new and clean, but there is sand all around the shower facility and it tracks all over the inside of the shower rooms. Even though the staff does a great job trying to keep it clean, there is a design problem with sand tracking in all over the inside. I would stay here again. We enjoyed our stay. Note: rate reflects Senior Golden National Park Pass rates.

Love this spot, walking distance to the ocean and town, yet very secluded with nature trails. Plenty of shade and privacy between sites. We'll return!

This is the best KOA I have stayed at so far. Plenty of shade and privacy with a nice view of the mountains from our site. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. I will return!

Nice campground for the price, close drive to Lake Tahoe or Virginia City. Sites a little close and not much shade, but good for overnight, and convenient.

This is an o.k. park for one night, but wouldn't want to stay any longer, it's truly in the middle of nowhere. Looked much better than the RV Park on the other end of town.
