Thought we'd died and gone to Heaven! This park was chosen because it was Passport America, (up to 3 nights but PA rate not available July, Aug, and Oct) but we would love to stay here even without that great rate. The staff was extremely nice, personable, and helpful. The pool sparkling and clean, exercise room, planned activities, and perfectly maintained sites and faculties. We also enjoyed the jumping pillow and the inflated water slide. I felt like a kid again! Ice cream prices in the office were very fair ($.75) and a great time was had by all. Wi-Fi codes were provided (without us asking) for all of our computers and was excellent. One of our most favorite campgrounds ever! They even allowed us to use the pool earlier than 10 am when we asked. Propane refill quick and efficient. A terrific campground! We also saw the two campgrounds near Graceland that we'd considered in the Memphis area and were glad we chose Jellystone, just 5 miles south on Hwy 51 of Graceland. It was worth the drive through town that did not look very nice around Graceland. A most excellent choice for our family!

The person who runs this park is so nice, that the quirky nature of this campground is just part of the experience. We could locate no sewer connection at our 30 amp site, which was gravel and grass under a tree, but some sites did appear to have it. The 50 amp sites were closer together but seemed a bit nicer. We had an electrical issue that was likely site-based. However the host was extremely kind and resourceful in buying a new Wi-Fi access point and mounting it high in a tree by that evening to insure we got internet service. Excellent! Durham has no other campgrounds to my knowledge and the 3 miles the next morning to Duke for our campus tour made this campground extremely convenient. Residents seemed very friendly and helpful. There appears to be a camper graveyard on the eastern entry road (Wilkins) to this campground. It is not part of the campground, which was good as it looked somewhat frightening. We enjoyed a pleasant visit, but would give it higher points for additional facilities (showers, bathhouse, sewer at 30 amp sites, paved 30 amp sites, and full functioning electrical hookups). Just a terrific host.

This was a beautiful campground with enormous sites shaded by large trees. It looked more like a State Park than a campground. The Manager was extremely nice and personally escorted us to our site. There were many large and expensive rigs, as well as some well-placed mobile homes. Residents seemed friendly, with two stopping to direct us down the road by the church, since there were no signs beyond to point of our GPS address. Advise calling ahead for specific directions and to insure there is room. We stayed here while going on a college tour of UNC and found it very convenient and within only 6 miles of the school. I would definitely stay here again. Higher points would be provided the campground if there were bathhouses or common areas to enjoy, but it was a beautiful, safe, well-run campground.
