North Star RV Park and Mobile Home Community, Valley Center, Kansas

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

The Mrs. and I stayed here in late August and found this to be a bit above average on the whole. We did not use any of the facilities but the quiet and the ease of parking in our pull-through was outstanding. It is easy to get to, not near any RR tracks or major highways. Just peace and quiet; if that is what you want when taking a rest, this is it. Oh, and the space we had was completely level. We camped at North Star RV Park and Mobile Home Community in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We stayed one night and did not disconnect the car. The office is a work space so, not luxurious, it worked.

Raton KOA, Raton, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

All gravel, very little shade. Activities are noisy. This is a more reasonable KOA than normal. WIFI is very inadequate with a very small data allotment. We camped at Raton KOA in a Motorhome.

Flatiron Reservoir, Loveland, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Dog feces is a problem since no one seems to pick up. Sites are very unlevel and rutted.

My site was facing the wrong way and I had to disconnect everything and turn around to leave because sometime since it was built the roadway has become one way. Extremely bad sites. We camped at Flatiron Reservoir in a Motorhome.

Carter Lake, Loveland, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Dogs are welcome but most people do not pick up after their animal. Many/Most of the sites are almost not navigable, very rough and impossible or difficult to get your RV level enough to use your refrigerator.

This is a County park and although a beautiful place the sites are small and not level. We have stayed at this camp ground 2 times and both time our awning was damaged but very harsh and sudden winds (gusty unexpected). Fishing is great but do not put out your awning. We camped at Carter Lake in a Motorhome.

Boyd Lake State Park, Loveland, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Noisy, unlevel sites and little to no shade. Nice lake and good view. Expensive for a state park and parties and fires were abundant. Difficult to park you car, if you are on the grass at all the Ranger will make you move. Very small spaces and tents are mixed with RV'S. We camped at Boyd Lake State Park in a Motorhome.
