Musicland Kampground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Park right in town and nearby Helicopter tours, so is little noisy during the day. Sites adequate but rather tight if were to have been full. IF it was occupied, my neighboring site sewer hookup would have been within 2 feet of my picnic table. Staff very friendly and helpful, area neat and secured with locked restrooms and gated entry to park. Price reasonable and very much appreciated the discount and recognition for Law Enforcement and Fire professionals. Most sites shady. Cable ok and internet was good. We camped at Musicland Kampground in a Travel Trailer.

Fall Creek Falls State Park, Spencer, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Enjoyed our stay. Rated higher than likely should have due to natural beauty of area. Staff present was friendly and helpful which was improvement over last visit few years ago. Area relatively clean but facilities still need some attention/maint. Enjoyed the falls and trails/swimming holes. Campground areas fairly well maintained, did have good cell service and even internet thru Verizon but no TV reception (which is good thing). Well stocked store on site, plenty of activities. Even used laundry which was very reasonably priced. Will go back ! We camped at Fall Creek Falls State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Old Stone Fort State Park, Manchester, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Arrived at dark and left next day so really didn't see much of campground or facilities. Rate at TN state parks is good but as stated prior, parks appear to suffer from lack of needed repairs and updates likely from lack of funds from state. Online reservation site set up few years ago is wonderful and should help their occupancy rates, I hope. Staff was friendly, park was adequate. Lacked needed signage for directions getting there. We camped at Old Stone Fort State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort, Santa Claus, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was top notch friendly and helpful. New bathhouse by pool is as nice as any seen. Impressed that even campground pool fully staffed by lifeguards. Sites were pretty tight getting in and out and would be VERY tight if area had been full. Love shuttle to Holiday World. Although area is remote, there is Dollar General, hardware store and grocery right outside main gate but nothing else for 20+ miles. Enjoyed our stay. We camped at Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Piney Campground, Land Between the Lakes NRA, Dover, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Have commented on park before and stayed several times, like the park and area. BUT, feel a little taken advantage of as they now seem to charge the 50 amp price on all full hookup sites. All full hookup sites have 50 and 30 amp but have to pay 50 amp price if only using 30 amps. No other full hookups avail even though web site says otherwise? We camped at Piney Campground, Land Between the Lakes NRA in a Motorhome.

Piney Campground, Land Between the Lakes NRA, Dover, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Park was full on Labor Day weekend and all went well. Haven't been in about a year and arrived to find mostly all new bathhouses which are very nice, with private shower rooms. Park is clean, well maintained and managed, priced very reasonably. I advised the staff on Sunday that the 20 amp plug in post didn't work but 30 amp was fine, only so they'd be aware as it was no issue for me at this time. Approximately 30 minutes later a ranger came by and checked it and attempted to fix it but was going to need new receptacle and didn't have available at time. I certainly didn't expect a response on Sunday of Labor Day weekend but I think it did show their concern for their facilities. Only critique could be need a few more sites with full hook-ups. $22.00 price was for electric only. This is one of my favorite parks close to home. We camped at Piney Campground, Land Between the Lakes NRA in a Travel Trailer.

Catherine's Landing, Hot Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Nice neat park. All level, LONG concrete slabs. Facilities and pool all look clean and well maintained, staff friendly and helpful. Bathhouse is nice as seen anywhere. Thought the rate was very reasonable for amenities. WIFi was strong and had strong Verizon service. Hookups well placed and all condensed onto attractive poles, all matching throughout whole park with night-light on poles as well. Can always tell a "Corporate owned" park from the family owned because they have the money for these little goodies! Also had very nice cabins and Yurts available. Liked self service bulk ice machine which was available 24/7. Would definitely return if in the area, and would likely try some of their other locations. Only critique is it needed a little more frequent mowing in sites, although other common areas were very neatly maintained. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Travel Trailer.

Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground, Yuma, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Spent couple nights while in area, and although not a "destination" location is very nice little stopover. Staff could not be any more accommodating and helpful in any way. Upper area sites all level concrete pads with wood deck areas attached, no road noise although the interstate is about 1.5 miles away. Nice peaceful setting with full hook-ups on all sites seen. Saw staff escorting units to sites long after office hours. Wi-Fi as good as any seen anywhere, cable TV included, rates very reasonable. Only thing keeps from a 9 or 10 is lacks a little shade during middle of day and bathrooms/showers, although clean as can be, are rather old and in need of some updating which appears to have been started. Would definitely stay again if in area. We camped at Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga, Rossville, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Staff could not have been any more pleasant. Overall a very good experience. Only negatives were roads and sites could use new layer of gravel and in site #94, I barely had room to get my truck in front of camper and off road but then couldn't reach sewer pipe with 20' of hose. Campground close to any/everything needed. Good place to stay for seeing sights but not exactly a "back-to-nature" kinda place. Would definitely stay again if in area. We camped at Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga in a Travel Trailer.

Clabough's Campground, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Spent four nights and was mostly pleased. Sites are cramped, but actually about par for the Pigeon Forge area. Needed a little hands on supervision/application for the many rules listed. Lots of barking dogs and late night noise went apparently unchecked. Grounds were mostly well kept and location was great being close to strip and activities in area. We camped at Clabough's Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Reelfoot Lake State Park, South Campground, Tiptonville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Good Park. Paved roads and fairly level sites. Park shows signs of lack of State funding though and needs some TLC to facilities although office staff were very friendly and helpful. Only about 65 miles from home and will definitely go back. Maximum RV length of 35 feet. We camped at Reelfoot Lake State Park, South Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Campground was impeccably clean. Bathhouse/showers were cleanest I've ever seen in a campground, better than many hotels!! Hosts are on site and very approachable. Does lack a little shade. Certainly would return if in the area again. We camped at Parnell Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Piney Campground, Land Between the Lakes NRA, Dover, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Been here several times and like the area and campground. Mostly shaded, several waterfront lots also. Very bicycle friendly. Staff very friendly as well. However, typical government site in that facilities have been neglected due to budgets I'm sure. Bathhouses are adequate and maintained, just OLD and in need of replacing. Still a worthy visit to the LBL area. We camped at Piney Campground, Land Between the Lakes NRA in a Travel Trailer.
