Tombstone RV Park and Campground, Tombstone, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this park because our traveling companions needed 50A and most local parks don't have it. The grounds are attractive and entirely covered with small gravel. There are mid-sized trees at many sites that provide some shade. The staff was friendly and helpful. The dog walks were well maintained. CONNECTIVITY WAS VERY POOR. Our phones could get no AT&T signal so voice and data were not available. WiFi had good signal strength but was slow and frequently disconnected from the internet. We camped at Tombstone RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Las Vegas RV Resort , Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This was an overnight stop as we went north through Nevada. The rate was a good value because of the summer season. The park is quiet, attractive and well kept. The internal roadways are tight but no problem with careful maneuvering of our 30' motorhome. We had disconnected our dinghy even though we had a pull-through spot. We learned on checkout that if you want to keep your dinghy connected, contact the office three or so hours before your arrival so the gate attendants can be instructed properly. Normal practice is to require disconnection. To park in most sites with a dingy behind, you will need long hoses and power cable. We camped at Las Vegas RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Campland On The Bay, San Diego, California

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

The $80 rate was for the weekend, $60 for weekdays. We are a retired couple and this park is best suited for young families who would likely rate it higher because of the many amenities for children. The weekend was very noisy because of a car club activity and a loud social event whose music could be heard all over the park. Quiet hours do not begin until 11PM. Weeknights were quiet with fewer campers. WiFi signal strength was strong but the connection was slow and uses a website login which was not convenient. There is a wide variety of sites from grassy and well treed to the sandy asphalt parking area we were in nearer to the beach. There is a nice laundry, store, game room and BBQ restaurant. The beach area and landscaping were well tended. Some of the longer term RVs looked junky. This location is convenient to I-5 for easy access to San Diego activities. We camped at Campland On The Bay in a Motorhome.

Rancho Sedona RV Park, Sedona, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

The park is conveniently located and attractive. There are few pull-through sites and many are somewhat short. Sites are generally wide and very well appointed with concrete pads and substantial picnic tables. Roads are a combination of pavement and good gravel surfaces. Sites are good gravel. The entire park is heavily treed and shaded, so satellite reception is probably not possible in most sites. There is decent quality cable TV provided at most sites. We did not use showers or toilets. Wi-Fi signals are strong from several access points but speed was slow. Our Verizon 3G Wi-Fi device worked well. Our rate includes a Good Sam discount, taxes and a $2 dog fee. We will stay here again. We camped at Rancho Sedona RV Park in a Motorhome.

Goulding's Lodge & Campground, Monument Valley, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is the place to stay when seeing Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. The setting is surrounded by rugged red cliffs. Though the terrain slopes a little, our site was level. The resort has several attractions: museum, slide show, documentary video, restaurant, tours & trading post. The place was clean & quiet with a friendly staff. The tribal park is nearby and features spectacular natural rock formations. The road through it is very rough so a high clearance vehicle or tour is recommended. This is definitely a worthwhile stop. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Moab Valley RV Resort , Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This park is conveniently located for the Arches NP and other outdoor activities we did. The grounds are attractive and well maintained. Sites were long enough for our RV and toad to stay connected if we wanted to. The Wi-Fi by Tengo is terrible with many disconnects. Reconnecting was a challenge. My Kindle paperwhite reader could not connect at all. We will try another place next time. We camped at Moab Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Cameron Trading Post RV Park, Cameron, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very basic park in a beautiful location near the edge of the Little Colorado River gorge and across the highway from the trading post. A ramshackle residential area is just behind the park. We needed an overnight in the area and this filled the bill. We would stop again under those circumstances. We camped at Cameron Trading Post RV Park in a Motorhome.

The area for short term stays is very open and sites are spacious. The pool is large and other visitors made good use of it. We had a nice meal in the restaurant. We stayed for three nights. Though pricey, we would stay again if in the area We camped at Wisconsin Riverside Resort in a Motorhome.

Harbour Village Resort, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The young man who checked us in knew nothing about the park: directions, features. Shower water was off some times. There was no Wi-Fi except at the laundry. Some sites are heavily wooded, claustrophobic. The meadow sites were spacious and level. We stayed for four nights. We will look for another park if we return to the area. We camped at Harbour Village Resort in a Motorhome.

Holiday Park Campground, Traverse City, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the most attractive parks we have visited. Spacious sites, tall trees, and broad grassy areas are most pleasant. Satellite access is problematic. Traverse City has a pleasant old downtown and several local attractions. We stayed two nights and would return if in Michigan again. We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Lakeshore Park Campground, Saint Ignace, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is an excellent stop for a visit to Mackinac Island. The front row of sites has great water views. Other sites not so much. Maneuvering room can be tight depending on how others park their cars and trucks. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Indiana Dunes State Park, Chesterton, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is an excellent place to view the dunes. We took trail 4 which is labeled moderate. It had many wooden steps (100+) and climbed the largest dune (fully forested) then down to the beach. There is an easy beach trail, but not well marked. Return by the beach trail or car pickup at the pavilion could avoid a round trip on trail 4. This was a good experience and we would do it again. We camped at Indiana Dunes State Park in a Motorhome.

Seven Winds RV Park, Liberal, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Even though the entire park has a graveled surface it offers an attractive finish and tidy campsites. Like the surrounding landscape, there are no trees. Access from US-54 is easy and there is plenty of maneuvering room which should accommodate large rigs. The "pick your site" and fee collection by staff between 5 & 9 was convenient. This is an excellent choice for an overnight in Liberal and we would stay here again. We camped at Seven Winds RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sands Motel & RV Park, Carrizozo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Though our cost was more than other reviewers paid. It is an excellent value for a basic overnight stop with Wi-Fi. Sites are fairly level and vary in width; length was adequate for our 31' motorhome with a SmartCar in tow. Check-in and parking were very quick and easy. We would stay here again. We camped at Sands Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.
