Flagstaff KOA, Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are easy in and out, park is adjacent to national forest and excellent hiking trails. Do Fat Mans Loop, great views. Only drawback at the park is the traffic noise. Enjoyed our stay! We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Fabulous setting on a peninsula with water on three sides. Staff was friendly and helpful, also close to Alpena and beautiful parks. Great experience. We camped at Campers Cove RV Park & Canoe Livery in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful park in town, waterfront park and boat tours in Thunder Bay. Also close to Rockport state park. At this campground, fun 18 hole mini golf, and watch for otters in the water!

Bears Den Resort, Grove, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

The sites near the road have sewer hookup, but if you're willing to forego the sewer hookup and use the dump station on the way out, the sites on the peninsula look out on the lake and Sailboat Bridge. There are a few large trees so you might get lucky and snag a shady spot. They are working on this park; hope to see improvements to these sites on the water as leveling the RV can be a challenge unless you're willing to park catywompous and forego the concrete pad at your RV door. There is a fishing hut, boat ramp, fish cleaning station, mini-golf, and it seems things are being spruced up. We paid nothing as an ROD member. We camped at Bears Den Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Downstream RV Park, Quapaw, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Free for your first 3 nights, then $15 though it seems no one is checking or counting. Truckers leave their trucks running all night, so you might get some noise. Casino has very clean restrooms, also a fabulous pool and hot tub with shaded gazebos, which we were told the RV guests may use. Very convenient stop for folks travelling the 44 Highway. There is no sewer hookup but a dump station. Also, note that usually the water hookup is shut down in winter. We camped at Downstream RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

BorderTown Casino Arena, Wyandotte, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

Others have addressed the cost and the train. Most of the time, there are plenty of open spots and it is possible to pull through rather than back in. Regarding the sewage treatment plant, when the wind comes from the west, you will get a very unpleasant whiff. Also, the cost goes to $9 on your 4th night, then $15 starting on the 8th night. This is a terrific stopover for a couple nights. Be sure to try out Country Cupboard restaurant for breakfast in Seneca. The casino also offers a good $3 breakfast. We camped at BorderTown Casino Arena in a Fifth Wheel.
