Western Hills Campground, Rawlins, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for 1 night in our 40' MH with tow car. Not sure if they had just put in new dirt/gravel and it must have rained before we arrived but the roads were a mess and walking in it was a disaster. Sites are wide enough but length is not well defined so it was hard to tell where to park. Cable and wifi worked well. Good for an overnight stay. We camped at Western Hills Campground in a Motorhome.

Holiday RV Park, North Platte, Nebraska

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for 1 night in our 40' MH with tow car. Site was barely large enough to hold us. Sites are gravel with some bad grass and not very level. For an overnight stay this would work but would not spend more time. Wifi and cable worked fine. Easy access from freeway but you also hear some of the road noise. We camped at Holiday RV Park in a Motorhome.

Griff's Valley View RV Park & Campground, Altoona, Iowa

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for 1 night in our 40' MH. Great park - beautifully landscaped. Definitely a good value. Space was really long even though it was a back-in site. Lots of OTA stations. If you want wifi you have to pay extra. Check-in was a little strange as a man met us as we were calling the office as instructed to do when arriving and he took us to the site but there was no map of the park given out and had to ask them to bring us a receipt. Great showers. We camped at Griff's Valley View RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Prairie Pines Campground, Rantoul, Illinois

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed in our 40' MH. Strange parking arrangement as you are led through the back of the park on the grass to then pull into your site. Then when you leave you have to drive off a parking curb. There was a sizeable hole that we had to straddle when leaving. They only take checks or cash. This was just an overnight stop on our way home. We camped at Prairie Pines Campground in a Motorhome.

Valley Breeze RV Campground, Grayson, Kentucky

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We picked this park needing an overnight stay in our 40' MH. RVPR gives it a 7.5 but I think that is generous. Basically felt like we were staying in someone's backyard. Site was really long so that was nice, but other than that there was really nothing else. Entrance is quite tight for big rigs. We camped at Valley Breeze RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Shenandoah Crossing Resort, Gordonsville, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We ended up here due to Charlottesville RV parks being busy in late Sept - that was a shock. We arrived in our 40' MH on a Thursday. Check-in was very confusing - you go see the guard at the gate who doesn't know where to send you to check in (lodge or preview bldg); then go to your site and hookup and then wander around finding out how to pay. This is part of a time share called Bluegreen Vacations so you pay but are then sent to another counter where they offered to give us gifts if we looked at what they had to offer. We guess that 2 hrs was worth it. BUT starting Friday the hordes arrived (we assume BG owners as many seemed to know each other) who were extremely loud & obnoxious. We had to call the guard twice that night to get them to come over (1st guard didn't seem to care and 2nd one finally did something at midnight) to get some sleep. They had a grill on the site but no propane so was unusable. Overall property seemed nice but it was all spoiled by the inconsiderate other campers. We camped at Shenandoah Crossing Resort in a Motorhome.

Cherry Hill Park, College Park, Maryland

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in a 40' MH for 9 days seeing the sites of Washington DC. Excellent park, from all of the staff to the grounds. Lots of amenities, but the best was the transportation they arrange to get you on tours you want to go on and feel safe. They are extremely accommodating about any changes you want to make, be it tours, extend your stay, leave early, etc. Our originally assigned site we felt was a little too small so called them from in front of the site and they gave us another one 2 spaces over that worked & even brought all new tags we needed to get in & out of the park over to us. For such a large park we found it to be very clean and relatively quiet. And they have trash receptacles everywhere so it made it easy to get rid of trash. If you want to see DC this is the park to choose! We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

They also have nice laundry rooms, pools, a restaurant, game rooms, etc. Great grocery store called Shoppers down the street, too.

Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort, Grand Island, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here in our 40' MH. Site had nice view of the lake, staff was extremely helpful and nice, and park was near Niagara. We were impressed that the staff stopped and thanked us for coming to the park and wanted to know if we needed anything. Note: there is a toll to get on to Grand Island each time you go across the bridge. We ended up being there over a weekend so had more locals with families than we expected after Labor Day so things were busier than expected in the park. We camped at Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort in a Motorhome.

Baylor Beach Park, Navarre, Ohio

Stayed here in a 40' MH - site was really long and easily held the MH and tow car. Thankfully we there after the water park closed for the season, otherwise we would have been somewhere else. We camped at Baylor Beach Park in a Motorhome.

Hideaway RV Park, Grass Lake, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Nice little park on a lake. Sites are gravel with grass and a picnic table. Hookups were located slightly far from where you would normally park but we made it work. We camped here in a 40' MH - site was plenty long enough for MH & tow. We arrived the Sunday of Labor Day and did not know if we would have kids running all over, but park was quiet (thankfully). Staff was very pleasant. No cable TV but got numerous OTA channels. We camped at Hideaway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hearthside Grove Motorcoach Resort, Petoskey, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

WOW!! Everything was fabulous - staff, grounds, sites. This is an ownership park but you can also rent. We had site 51 which was a forward pull-in . . . perfect for more privacy and we were facing the trees and the area that had the outdoor furniture. Wonderful location to see all the sites - Mackinac Island, Petoskey, Charlevoix, Harbor Springs etc. If we didn't live all the way out west we would consider buying here as the area and this park are gorgeous. We camped at Hearthside Grove Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Ogston RV Park, Saginaw, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this park due to the 8+ rating on RV Pk Reviews, but when we arrived we did not think it was up to that high a rating. Sites were gravel with some grass between but not really landscaped. Other parks that charge $40/night seem to offer more. We camped at Ogston RV Park in a Motorhome.

Jamestown Campground, Jamestown, North Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

As stated by others, the park is fine. But the washboard entrance is 1 mile of frontage road that the poor owners were told would be paved 6 years ago and does not appear to be happening. We had to go really slooooww down this portion so as to not shake the fillings out of our teeth, We camped at Jamestown Campground in a Motorhome.

New Frontier RV Park, Winnemucca, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Newer park so small trees. We were in a 40' MH towing and had asked for a pull through. When we arrived we were given a back-in with the explanation that the pull-thru sites were all gone; therefore we had to unhook for the night. Then we walked around and discovered there were at least 2 empty pull-thru sites and another that had a small truck & pop-up camper which we thought was ridiculous when larger rigs needed sites like that. Staff was friendly but we were only stopping for a night so did not use facilities. Site was level. As an over night we would probably return. We camped at New Frontier RV Park in a Motorhome.

Big Sky Camp and RV Park, Miles City, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Park is fairly run down. We did a water-sewer only site as this was just an overnight stop but even the FHU sites did not look better. Owners were friendly. It's OK for a one night stop as is close to I-94. Sites are long but landscaping is basically nil. We camped at Big Sky Camp and RV Park in a Motorhome.
