Casey's Riverside RV Park, Westfir, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Have stayed at this park several times and really enjoy listening to the river run in front of the sites. Very relaxing! This year all of the grass on the river front sites was dead and yellow. We finally stopped by the office to ask what was going on and were told they were new owners with only 3 people to run the park so did not have time to water and they have no system to water the grass. We would probably stay here again but would check first to make sure the grass is being maintained. We camped at Casey's Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pacific Pines RV Park & Storage, Florence, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here in our 40' MH with tow. Probably the best park to stay in Florence area as it is close to the town. Were concerned we might have road noise since it is on Hwy 101 but not the case. Sites are a bit small and everyone has to park their tow partially in the street but managers said that was OK. Last night we had a power problem and our surge protector indicated the park pole was running hot. Called and someone came over at 8:00 pm to see what was happening. We had to use a converter plug and switch to 30 amp. Managers are very helpful and friendly - gave a tour of the facilities and escort to site. Would stay here again when in this area. We camped at Pacific Pines RV Park & Storage in a Motorhome.

Icicle River RV Park, Leavenworth, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed a week so got a weekly rate. Great park for visiting Leavenworth. We have stayed here before and been able to be on the river but the site this year was in the row for sites 34-39. It was all dirt and they had done no watering so we had no grass at all. Site was dirty with debris when we arrived and we had to clean it before parking. Site next door claimed the same thing. Some road noise. Internet slow and we were right near the office. Lots of barking dogs. Hardly any sun. Had a power surge the last night that was so strong that even our $400+ 50 amp surge protector did not help as we found out after leaving that the surge had fried the AC board for our frig so had to spend the rest of our trip using LP for the frig. Will cost $400 - $500 to repair. We would return if we could get a site on the river - otherwise probably not. We camped at Icicle River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Elks Lodge #1858 (Members Only), Florence, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are fairly large but our 40' MH and tow just fit into the site we were given. They need to do some branch trimming so help avoid scratching your rig and car. Their wifi was good but NO CELL SERVICE - not even Verizon worked. Their cable is also broken as we were told "someone ran over their cable box". Host was very nice. We probably would not stay here again. We camped at Elks Lodge #1858 (Members Only) in a Motorhome.

Spokane RV Resort, Deer Park, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Picked this park to try to have a quiet Labor Day weekend. SUCCESS!! We were in the owner-owned section facing the golf course in our 40' MH. Beautiful views, wonderful staff and owner neighbors on each side. This is also a gated community. Had a hiccup with one of the washers and they gladly refunded our money. Only draw back was their cable - lots of channels but really only 4-5 you would want to watch (none of the cable news channels were available). If in the area we would stay here again. We camped at Spokane RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Columbia Falls RV Park, Columbia Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

Started making reservations a year ago and was promised a premium site where park owner told me the sites were larger and had a brick patio with wrought iron table and chairs (we saw those sites and that is true). However, the site they took us to did not have this; instead it had a regular picnic table that was practically on top of the sewer connection for the site next to us. We called the office to get a premium site as promised and they offered another site but not a premium site. The site we got was fine for shade and size but the picnic table was 1/2 size, warped and on a little patch of gravel in the middle of some grass. I asked the owner for a price adjustment since we were paying for a premium site and did not get one, but she claimed since the site we had was "on an end it was considered a premium site". We felt we were misled and this park chooses to not publish their prices or have a map showing which sites are supposed to be premium so we were stuck paying for something we felt we did not get. Other than that the park is fairly nice and has good access to Glacier, Whitefish etc although the trains are quite loud and often. I ask a lot of questions before I make reservations and feel it is sad if you can't trust the owner to give accurate information. We camped at Columbia Falls RV Park in a Motorhome.

Travellers Rest, Darby, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The RV Park Reviews said this is a 9.1 park - not even close. It is a small 6 site park with nice owners but cannot be seriously compared to 9+ parks we have stayed in. The RV Pk Review and park website both claim it has cable TV, but we were told that is not the case when we checked in. We were offered a satellite box for $5/day that you have to connect to the back of your TV (ever try that when the TV is are framed into your coach? and it only works on 1 TV). Our site was a pull through with decent shade. Since we have friends in the area and this is the only game in town we would probably stay here again. We camped at Travellers Rest in a Motorhome.

Fairmont RV Park, Anaconda, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Park was totally by itself off a country road. Sites were all dirt. Appeared some had a somewhat decent view of low hills but our site faced into buildings. Luckily we were only there for 1 night to have dinner with friends in MT. We would not return as they charge too much for what this park offers. We camped at Fairmont RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sunrise Campground, Bozeman, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for 3 nights in a 40' MH. Original RV Park Review said this had cable TV but we were informed that is not true. Sites are gravel. Female owner is very nice, but husband seemed irritated and would drive right by you on his ATV and totally ignore you. We did get to move to a different site than originally assigned which worked much better for us. Since this is the closest park to Bozeman we would probably stay here again. We camped at Sunrise Campground in a Motorhome.

Cowboy RV Park, Pocatello, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived in our 40' MH and tow car and they sent us to a pull through site. It was so unlevel we called and asked for a different site. They moved us to another site - same thing; we could not level. Our 3rd attempt was finally a back-in site and we had to put large blocks under the driver side of the coach to get level. Staff was very nice about it, but the sites in this park leave a lot to be desired. Interior roads for a large MH are difficult to maneuver. We would not stay here again. We camped at Cowboy RV Park in a Motorhome.

Welcome Station RV Park, Wells, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This park had a 8.1 rating but we would not rate it that high. Owners wanted us to pay in cash and then we had to wait to get a receipt. When you arrive you have to call them to have someone come over and show you to your site. Sites are dirt which made a mess when the wind started to blow. No WiFi. No TV (not even OTA). There was grass in between some of the sites, but with few amenities we don't think this park warrants a 8.1 rating - more like a 7.3. We camped at Welcome Station RV Park in a Motorhome.

New Frontier RV Park, Winnemucca, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Had another great stop over at this park in our 40' MH. Since it was going to be over 100 degrees we wanted our refrigerator on the shady side and they were very nice to let us move to a site that worked for us (even though our original site was a PT this back-in site worked better for this visit and also cost a little less). Everything worked well and we will return. We camped at New Frontier RV Park in a Motorhome.

Coleville/Walker KOA (formerly Meadowcliff Lodge & RV Resort), Coleville, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

Not sure why others are rating this park at 9.2. To us this is just an average park. Had to keep windows closed on the highway side at night as there was so much noise. Also feel the rates are too high. Cable TV was OK but channel selection was not good. Staff was nice. We camped at Coleville/Walker KOA (formerly Meadowcliff Lodge & RV Resort) in a Motorhome.

Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino), Verdi, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Customer service was good. Spaces are large enough, but our cable did not work (although maintenance man tried) so we switched to OTA. Wifi was spotty and did not seem strong enough. We were in one of the "pull in" sites facing the mountain and tried to change as it was not what we expected - office lady tried her best but they were busy so we stayed where we were for the 2 night stay. Other than going to Truckee for shopping and eating (which is why we stayed at this park) there is not really anything to do except visit the small casino. Not sure we would stay here again although some of the other pull through sites looked good. I think we just had a not so good first experience.
