Apostle Islands Area Campground, Bayfield, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this campground because of the close proximity to Bayfield and because it had full hook-ups. The Darylrimple campground has electric, but only water stations and not at each site. If you need satellite, make sure you have a site that the satellite is not blocked by trees. Ours was fine. The sites are gravel and our was not level :-(. It's not a 5 star campground, but adequate. We camped at Apostle Islands Area Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Apostle island tour is okay. The islands are uninhabited and used for camping or canoe/kayaking. The best of the tour is the view of the caves at devils island. The history is good, but would not do this tour again.

Red Trail Campground, Medora, North Dakota

Overall Rating:

This park isn't glitz and glamour, like some big city parks, but clean and lovely with shady spots available. The people that run it are very nice, friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Red Trail Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, Mandan, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent spot! If you haven't made a reservation, call them and they will let you know how many "first come, first served" RV sites are available. We arrived in the afternoon and found a lovely spot. Area is grass covered and lots of trees. Bathrooms are very clean. We found a site that shared a water spigot. We have electric also. Some sites have water for each site and yes, some water spigots are several feet away. Don't hesitate because this is a beautiful area. We camped at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice, clean, Quiet Park. Not as modern as others, but the owner cares and the park is clean and quiet. Level gravel spaces w/cement area for your chairs. Nice table for eating outside if you wish. Mature trees. Park was very quiet. Wi-Fi available. Family owned park in West Yellowstone for over 50 years. Price listed was AAA/Aarp and included the tax. We camped at Wagon Wheel Campground & Cabins in a Travel Trailer.
