Interstate 40 Grand Canyon RV Park , Ash Fork, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

I was having engine problems and had to stay somewhere for the night. The office was not open so I pulled into an open spot and planned to check in the morning. At 6am someone was banging on my door threatening to call the police because I was not registered. It was a nightmare. The sites are not level, the park is dirty and the staff unfriendly. I do not recommend this park. Keep rolling and avoid at all costs. We camped at Interstate 40 Grand Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park, Santa Rosa, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed there for one night while heading home. They had a nice 90 foot site and we did not have to unhook our tow. We had 50amp and cable and water at site but no sewage. Since we were only staying one night this was not an issue. If we were staying longer it would have been. It was clean and the man that worked at the desk was very nice. We were having RV problems and he helped us. They have a nice little store and a restaurant with good home cooked food.I would stay there again while passing through. We camped at Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Grand Canyon Camper Village, Tusayan, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for 2 nights. Sites were not concrete. The 40 AMP kept going on and off. Terrible internet, but I think this is due to the area, not necessarily park.If you want to go to the Grand Canyon it is fine for a few nights. It was very convenient in location to Grand Canyon. We camped at Grand Canyon Camper Village in a Motorhome.

Canyon RV Park, Anaheim, California

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was quiet and the lots were large with lots of grassy area for my dogs. The only problem we had was with ants. We kept getting little ants in the RV and had to figure out how to deal with that. The park had a state park feel, which is what I like. I would stay here again. The only thing I did not like was that my daughter came for dinner one night and they made her pay $10.00 to enter the park and visit us. I did not feel like this was necessary since we only had one car at our site and 2 people. We camped at Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

Picacho Peak RV Resort (55+ park), Picacho, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. Long pull through. We only slept there for one night but I would go again. No one was there, it was very quiet with a few people who live in homes or RV. I believe it is a place that most people go in the Winter to escape snow. What was strange is the office hours this time of year are 9-1. I could not get anyone on the phone and when I got there I had to fill out an envelope and provide my information like credit card, etc. I hate doing this, but there was no other way to stay. Thank goodness they had a security guard that was off duty that helped me. Otherwise I would have had no idea how to do this. Never stayed at a place where they did not have someone to check me in. We camped at Picacho Peak RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Hilltop RV Park, Fort Stockton, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here one night as we were passing through on our way west. The site was nice and the park comfortable. People were quiet and respectful. There is no grass and the site was crushed stone, not concrete, but it worked. My favorite part of the park was the puppy park. It was a small area that was fenced off and I was able to let my dogs off the leash. They did have some grass in the puppy patch and another area to walk my dogs. I would stay here again. We camped at Hilltop RV Park in a Motorhome.

Playa Del Rio, Pensacola, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $98.00
Overall Rating:

The people were friendly and the park was clean. Sites close together but workable. Had a nice place for the car, table, etc on side of coach. Very nice boardwalk to the beach. Their website says dog park and this is incorrect, there are places to walk the dogs, but no park for running, etc. Had a very nice area close to the waterway (not gulf) that had hammocks and sitting area. Overall it was a good experience. I plan to go again. I think the prices was too high, but there are not many choices in the area. We camped at Playa Del Rio in a Motorhome.

Camp Gulf, Miramar Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $145.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are very close together. Forget about sleeping in, when the people next to you are awake you are awake. I was next to a double site so they had 2 RV's on one site with lots of people and lots of noise. Also, it was raining and the road was flooded so we had to wait to get our RV to the site. When we first got to the park the people at the front office on the highway were not friendly or helpful at all. When we registered the lady inside was much more helpful. The rangers were also helpful. I did like the location. It is close to malls, movies, etc. I also liked being that close to the Gulf. They had lots of activities for younger children. I will stay here again if I cant find a place at a more reasonable price. I find the rates are too expensive for what you get. We camped at Camp Gulf in a Motorhome.

Love this park. Clean, beautiful lake, grounds are shaded. Will stay here again. It was a bit pricy for a state park, but I can understand why. We camped at Stone Mountain Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Houston Central RV Park, Houston, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

The park is clean. The sites are nice. I would stay here again if I had plans in Houston. The only issue I have is that many people live here in RV's. I prefer not to stay where people live in large numbers. I would suspect that most people here reside here. Most keep the area clean and you can't really tell that they reside there unless your look closely. However a few have really old campers in disrepair with junk around the camper. It's a bit creepy. The management needs to come down on these people or get them out as it messes it up for others. If they cant fit the junk in their camper then they store it outside. The staff was very nice and helpful. They are on site which makes it nice. I felt safe and it was quiet. Everyone appeared to stay to themselves and respect others. We camped at Houston Central RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bayou Segnette State Park, Westwego, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Love state parks. Nice site. The only problem was that they had an officer around giving tickets for speeding, not in the park but on the main road to the park. The only thing I don't like is the fact that I had to pay 6 dollars to make the reservation. You have to call Reserve America and they charge you to make the reservation. I would stay here again. We camped at Bayou Segnette State Park in a Motorhome.

I love state parks. This was a good one. The pad was not level but they give lots of room for the coach. I would stay there again. They are about to finish the wavepool and waterpark so I expect it to be very popular soon. We camped at Buccaneer State Park in a Motorhome.

Cajun RV Park, Biloxi, Mississippi

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

The park was clean. The sites were a little close together but it was not crowded so there was no problem. It would have been very difficult if the park was full. I would stay there again. The problem I had was that the office was only open from 9-5 and there was no emergency number. We had a problem with our electricity and could not find anyone to help us. Finally we found someone and he gave us an extension and everything was well, but our electricity was tripped about 4 times and I was afraid my appliances would be fried. The people were nice and the place was clean. I did not like the fact that the only garbage bins were in remote locations. Throwing things away was a pain. But I would stay there again. I did not notice any live ins, which is a good thing. We camped at Cajun RV Park in a Motorhome.
