Hon-Dah Casino RV Park, Pinetop, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

The seasonal and permanent sites in this park look great. The overnight spots...not at all! The are unlevel, unkept and narrow. Our spot (#137) has a gully running through the middle and, during a hard rain, ran right through our cinder rock site along an existing washed out "ditch", that obviously needed to be filled in with gravel or rocks, maybe even concrete. We were concerned it would undermine our trailer supports, but luckily, it did not. The overnight spots are also right along the highway and the continual "thump, thump, thump" of local residents' with blaring stereos going by at all hours. The WiFi is terrible (as pretty much spelled out in the disclaimer of the Internet brochure they hand out, which says do not depend on their WiFi connection for any reason). I do have two good things to report. The cable TV has many great channels and a good, clear picture. Also, the food at the adjoining Indian Hon-dah Casino has a good restaurant with very reasonably priced food. For the record, we will choose another RV park in Pinetop for our next stay. We camped at Hon-Dah Casino RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Elk Pines RV Resort, Overgaard, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We were able to reserve a site for one night just to shorten our drive from Farmington, NM to Phoenix. We were told there was only one spot available (because nobody wanted it, it was by the road with few pine trees). Turns out, we loved the spot. Loved it so much we extended our stay by one night, then another night. The campground hosts are so friendly and the park is very clean with many upscale motor homes and trailers. This will definitely be a place we visit again and again (if we ever leave, that is, LOL!) We camped at Elk Pines RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Priest Gulch Campground & RV Park, Dolores, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We love, love, love this park! We've stayed here several times (maybe 7 or so) for a week or two at a time. The grounds are beautifully kept. The spaces are level and shady. The staff is super nice. However, some upgrade on the Wi-Fi is required. We are NOT "unplugged" kind of people. And with more and more guests using the Wi-Fi in the park these days, the Wi-Fi is becoming unbearable. Wouldn't stop us from staying here again and again, it's just the only thing needing improvement. We camped at Priest Gulch Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

St. Louis RV Park, St. Louis, Missouri

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Although this RV Park is mostly ashphalt, the location makes up for any "landscaping shortcomings". The staff was friendly, the Wi-Fi was great, the water pressure was great. Our trailer needed a little bit of leveling since the site is on a slope, but for the only thing going in downtown St. Louis, we loved it! We camped at St. Louis RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Archview RV Resort & Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The park was beautiful, on the edges of canyons with great desert landscaping. The store held many gift opportunities. They said on their website they had high speed internet. They did not. They had slow speed internet. We work from the road and this is very important for us. We look for places with good internet. Theirs was creepy-slow. If internet is not important to you, this is a great campground! We camped at Archview RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground, Virgin, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Five stars! This is, by far, the most beautiful, well-maintained RV park I have ever stayed in! Clean, new, level concrete pads surrounded by professionally designed landscape. Beautiful grassy areas, beautiful social room and gift shop. Nestled in the red cliffs surrounding Zion National Park. Absolutely no suggestions for improvement. We even decided, at the last minute, to stay another day. We camped at Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Dillon KOA, Dillon, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

I usually enjoy KOA's because they have to meet a certain standard. This KOA was what I would call adequate. The pool was very clean as was the store. It was on the banks of a river with fishing access. The biggest improvement I could suggest was a little work on the sites (water the grass, pull some weeds, etc.) We camped at Dillon KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Spruce Park on the River, Kalispell, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Nice shady, grassy spots. Campground is right on the river. Very beautiful area, however, they could have used a little more adult/family segregation. We were told if we'd prefer an area without so many kids, we'd need to request the "North" end of the park, but if a family with children wanted to stay, they would put them next to us if they had to. We're retired and have raised our kids. We were smack in the middle of no less than 10 or more babies/small children. We camped at Spruce Park on the River in a Travel Trailer.

Elk Mountain RV Resort, Stanley, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park has great potential, beautiful spots with large, shady pine trees, however, the piles of various "junk" around the park, along with lots of trash (vinyl gloves, cigarette butts, candy wrappers) around our site really took away from the beautiful area of Elk Mountain. We camped at Elk Mountain RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
