The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course, Borrego Springs, California

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We have been Snowbirds at this resort for the last 12 years. This year we were disappointed with our experience. As we drove in it looked uninviting and weedy - not the Desert Oasis we were used to seeing. The golf course had not been over seeded last Oct so it was in very poor condition. The golf course was our major reason for choosing this resort. They must have decreased the number of cleaning & maintenance employees because the grounds and sites were weedy and the meeting rooms weren't well cleaned. The bathrooms were not cleaned as frequently as previous years so often had wet floors. Many of the activities such as live music, wine tastings, and special occasion dinners we had enjoyed before had been discontinued. The remaining staff were as kind as courteous as previous years and did what they could to improve our experience. We camped at The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course in a Motorhome.

Desert Rose RV Park, Fernley, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

We have used this park several times and it has been terrific every time. It is a bit off I-80 but well worth the drive. The pull through sites look too short to leave your tow vehicle hooked up however they let you pull unto the asphalt of the road further than it appears you can. Each site has grass which made our dog happy. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino), Verdi, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We were unable to level our motorhome in our site. Since we were only here one night, we lived with it off level from side to side. Access is a bit difficult. Follow the signs and directions from the Park website. There is grass at each site and the park is well maintained. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino) in a Motorhome.

The restaurant at the Casino is very good and a welcome break after a long day on the road. You get a discount coupon when you check in for the restaurant and coffee shop.

Angel Lake RV Park, Wells, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access off I-80 for overnight. Pull through sites are long enough that you don't need to unhook. Fills up so make reservations. No grass for dogs but there is a golf course across the street that has grass in it's public area. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bodega Bay RV Park, Bodega Bay, California

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

It is easy to miss the park entrance. When coming from the south there is a sign indicating that the entrance is in 100 Feet. Turn just past that sign since the 100 feet is across the restaurant parking lot and slightly down the hill to the east not on the road. From the north you can't see the entrance at all and you will need to turn on the south side of the restaurant. The sites in the park are very tight and backing in is easier with help. Some sites at the bottom of the hill do not have sewer hookups. However, the park is in a great location to enjoy the local beaches and quaint seaside towns. The park is well maintained and quiet hours are enforced. We camped at Bodega Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are beautiful trails built from the RV Park to the ocean. Don't miss the Bells Memorial. If you play golf, the Bodega Harbor course is difficult but lots of fun with great views of the ocean.

Fort Bridger RV Camp, Fort Bridger, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $35.00

We have stayed here several times. It is a quiet park with grass at each site. Great for an overnight stay since the sites are long enough to accommodate even the biggest tow. Cash or check only. We camped at Fort Bridger RV Camp in a Motorhome.

Cove Creek RV Resort, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful new park! Most of the sites are concrete and large with an offset area for your tow car. It's far enough away from the busy Pigeon Forge attractions that it is a quiet and wonderful place to return to at the end of the day. The office and lodge area is cozy and welcoming. There is a "back door" entry to the Great Smoky Mountains just a few miles away. The individual shower rooms are outstanding; the pool area is beautiful; laundry room is top notch; and the exercise room is modern and has walls of windows to enjoy the view of the Smokies. The WiFi was one of the best we have had in an RV Park. We loved this park and would return. We camped at Cove Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Add-More Campground, Clarksville, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Based on previous reviews we almost didn't stay here. Glad we changed our mind! Great location for activities in Louisville AND there is a Super WalMart with a Sam's nearby. WiFi was good; bathrooms were spacious and clean; site was gravel but level; sites are narrow but they offset the motorhomes whenever possible. When we checked in I was ill and the Manager told me where to find an Urgent Care facility. Then she checked on me the next day to make sure I had gotten help. We had a severe storm during our stay. The Manager made sure we knew we were in a weather alert and where the storm shelter was. We enjoyed our stay and would use this park again. We camped at Add-More Campground in a Motorhome.

Desert Rose RV Park, Fernley, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a wonderful find! Friendly, helpful staff; concrete pad sites with grass & a tree between sites; fast, reliable Wi-Fi; and the BEST shower rooms we've see. The rec building has an activity area and a laundry area in a large open room. The 8 unisex shower rooms with oversized, tile showers were also in the Rec bulding - VERY nice. The rate was Passport America with $1 for our dog. We will definitely drive the few miles off I-80 to use this park when we are traveling through the area again. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Prospector Hotel and Casino , Ely, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great bargain for $15/night. We got in at 9:30 AM and got the last site with cable TV. The sites are gravel and we had to work at getting our motorhome level. The Wi-Fi was GREAT. There are no restroom or shower facilities available to the RV guests. There was a large grassy area behind the hotel that was perfect for our dog. It was used by the hotel guests with dogs as well as the RV guests. We had a great time in the Casino and enjoyed our stay here. We'd definitely use this park again if we could check in early enough to get one of the cable TV sites. We camped at Prospector Hotel and Casino in a Motorhome.

Border Inn RV Park, Baker, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

As noted before, this is the best place to stay with a big rig if you want to see Great Basin Nat'l Park & Lehman Caves which are well worth the stop. There really is NO phone service here. The closest cell phone access we could find was 19 miles west on HWY 50 at a home with an arch of antlers over their driveway. There is a sign which says "Horns of Plenty." Gravel parking sites but level. We were never able to connect to the Wi-Fi from our motorhome. However we had a lot of fun in the small casino. My husband checked out the showers and elected to use the facilities in our motorhome instead. It isn't a great place, but it isn't bad and we loved our day at the park. We camped at Border Inn RV Park in a Motorhome.

Monument RV Resort, Fruita, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 1 week and loved the location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The sites are gravel and level with picnic tables for each site. They are also extra long so you don't need to unhook your tow vehicle. Showers are tiled, clean and spacious. We come through here every year and will definitely stay at this resort again. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Motorhome.
