Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga, Rossville, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

After prematurely leaving another place, we desperately looked for another Chattanooga Campground. This campground's staff was extremely helpful and nice. To say this campground's bathhouses were clean would be an understatement. They were cleaner than my house. My children loved the pool, and the laundromat was great. The only thing that is negative is the lack of shade and not very big sites. What can I expect??? It is right in the middle of town. If you forgot anything, there is a Dollar General store across the street. I would stay here again. We camped at Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga in a Motorhome.

What a wonderful campground! All the luxuries of home while camping is wonderful. This was by far the nicest campground we have stayed at for being in the middle of a city. It was shaded and just a beautiful campground. My children loved the pool. The staff was also very helpful. We camped at Stone Mountain Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Rock Island State Park, Rock Island, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Rock Island was beautiful. The staff was very helpful, and the programs were great. The campground sites are small, but they are well shaded. Be careful not to run too many electric items. The electric lines are old and can't handle several electric items running at the same time. The canoe trip up the Caney River is a must. The gorge area was beautiful. The naturalist were very informative and helpful. I would recommend going off the trails and seeing the smaller waterfalls off the bluff and the beautiful ferns. We would definitely return. We camped at Rock Island State Park in a Motorhome.

Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground, Chattanooga, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This was by far the nastiest place I've been. I swear I heard Dueling Banjos play as we pulled up. When we told the staff that we wanted to leave, they didn't care enough to even get out of their chairs. The bathhouse toilets had blood on the seat. I wouldn't wash my dog's clothes in the washing machines. I definitely would never go back again. We camped at Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
