Overall Rating:

Had full-service, gravel sites. Water and sewer not next to each other. Niced paved roads, easily accessible from freeway. Other services included pool, laundry, lots of outdoor activities available. Prominent train and freeway noise. Can hear trains overnight. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Forks 101 RV Park, Forks, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Sites had grass, normal distance apart, several full-time trailers and RV sites in park. We had full hook-ups which worked well. New owners and manager are in process of updating the campground. Most sites had a picnic table and fire pit, but our table was broken and no fire pit yet. Wifi didn't work in back, so if you need wifi, get site closer to the front as it did work there. Laundry facilities- good price, very available, machines worked! Convenient for driving Hwy. 101 for Olympic NP visit. We camped at Forks 101 RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Newhalem Creek (NPS Campground), North Cascades National Park, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Paved pads, mostly shaded sites, peaceful. No WiFi, but Verizon 4G signal was good. Beautiful old growth forest surroundings, North Cascades National Park Visitor onsite, amphitheatre nearby, easy trails in campground, pretty waterfall nearby. No one there to check you in, so if you reserved just go to your site. If you need a site go up to the Visitor Center. Only issue with sites is the inner loop pull-through sites are set up backwards for most motorhomes/trailers. We camped at Newhalem Creek (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Del Norte Redwoods State Park, Crescent City, California

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 4 nights and had a great time exploring! My kids loved finding the snails & banana slugs on all our hikes. Our site was a little difficult to get into with a trailer, but we managed with no real problems. The Redwood trees are amazing and are present all around us. We love to camp directly in the parks we're visiting so that we can take in a Ranger program or 2. Steep road in & out, but manageable. Would definitely stay again. Note that there is an $8 transaction fee if reserving online. We camped at Del Norte Redwoods State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Mount Shasta City KOA, Mount Shasta, California

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 3 nights, visiting Mt Shasta and doing some whitewater rafting on the Klamath River. We had a great time! The kids played in the pool. WIFI worked well at our site. They had a small basketball court area, badminton/volleyball area and a playground that often had kids in it. We would definitely stay here again. Wendover KOA, West Wendover, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here just 1 night as a stopover. We had a difficult time finding the entrance to this campground because of the construction detour signs. We did locate it though and were pleasantly surprised at how nice it looked. The sites are rather close, but everything was clean and the staff was helpful. We camped at Wendover KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Wissota State Park, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 3 nights over 4th of July weekend, so the park was busy. We took advantage of the Lake Wissota shoreline and did some kayaking. We also did a little hiking and even went into town and did the Leinenkugel brewery tour. There were plenty of mosquitos - especially in the early evening, but we expected that anyway. Our site was wooded and well separated from others. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Lake Wissota State Park in a Travel Trailer.

North Park Campground, Dickinson, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 1 night as a stopover. We didn't use too many of the facilities as we got here late and left early. There were plenty of RV's in the park, but we didn't see anything exceptional about the CG. We would definitely stay again on our way through. We camped at North Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Craters of the Moon / Arco KOA , Arco, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here just 1 night and visited the nearby Craters of the Moon. This is a nice CG that has some nice hospitality events - at least when we were there. They had a daily ice cream social in the evening and while we were there, they had a wine tasting event. We didn't partake in the wine tasting, but they looked like they were having a nice time. The pool was well used, though a little small. We enjoyed our limited time here. We camped at Craters of the Moon / Arco KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Twin Falls / Jerome KOA, Jerome, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 3 nights. This is a nice CG just north of Twin Falls. It was hot when we stayed here, so we took advantage of their very nice pool. There wasn't a lot of space between sites, but it was better than some I've stayed in. There was some nice shade in our site, though the birds thought it was nice also and could be quite loud in the morning. The staff were cheery and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Twin Falls / Jerome KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Mazama Village (NPS Campground), Crater Lake National Park, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice CG that is in excellent proximity to the Rim! It was a 10 min or so drive from CG to Rim. We love to stay at the park CG when visiting the NP's so we can more easily take advantage of Ranger programs and the like. We stayed here 4 nights. The bathrooms are fine, but not great. That was to be expected. We were disappointed in the showers. We happened to get there after they cleaned, so they were all nice and clean, but the timers (I think it was 75 cents per 4 min) were not at all accurate. Gas is also available at a (relatively) reasonable price. Finding our campsite was interesting in that you're not assigned a site per se, but you're assigned a type (color) and you need to drive around and find an open site with your color stripe. Worked out for us as we stayed in an open, paved pullthrough site. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Mazama Village (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Waldport / Newport KOA, Waldport, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 3 nights. This is a nice RV park that has a trail down to the river. We watched the sea lions and some loons in the water. Laundry facilities and showers were nice. Each shower area was actually its own little room with toilet, sink & shower. The doors need some mechanism to show when occupied, but otherwise very nice & clean. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Waldport / Newport KOA in a Travel Trailer.
