Gulf Coast RV Resort, Beaumont, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

We have been coming here for over 4 years and the park keeps getting worse every year. The cable and Internet don't work. When you tell management about it the response you get is "we are working on it" Nothing is getting fixed and probably never will. They say they have an exercise room. Really nothing works! They are going up on rent. Not worth it for what you get. The management is lazy. This year they have a bunch of workers in the park. The park looks dirty compared to last year. No place to park due to so many vehicles per spot. The workers park their vehicles in the road so makes it very difficult to get your rig in without pulling on grass. Way too many ruts in the grass. Not to mention employees not filling those ruts in. Really not pleased and probably will not return unless something gets done. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very over priced park, but good location. I guess that's why they get the $. Dusty park with wide but short sites. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Gulf Coast RV Resort, Beaumont, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Park has a good and friendly staff. We have stayed at this location numerous times before and have observed that they don't seem to repair items needing attention. It is in need of repairing the cable TV. At best you get very minimum channels, now because of issues, you only get a few channels on the cable. It would not cost that much to improve and upgrade. (Other parks have more than BASIC cable.) And some spots get NO cable. As far as internet: WHEN it works, you get such a weak signal, it is of no use. When it rains: have your rubber boots as there is lots of standing water. It seems as if the management is aware of these issues, but nothing gets resolved. Maybe the owners don't want to spend a dime for the customers satisfaction? If there was another safe park in Beaumont, we would stay there. The rate is a monthly rate. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is passport rate. very clean office, restrooms, showers, and good breakfast. Employees are very helpful and pleasant. sites are paved, but cable, and some electrical connections are in need of repair. internet is somewhat slow and at times unavailable, we came after a rain and grass area has standing water thus is very muddy. we have stayed here numerous times and will stay here again, but have noticed that certain areas are in need of attention. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Bayou Shores RV Resort, Galveston, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived after the office had closed, the assigned site was occupied. We parked at the available site next to our assigned site, which site the 30 amp hook-up was being used by our neighbor, fortunately we had a 50 amp adapter that we used to hook-up with. Friendly person changed our site next morning. Resort is in need up maintenance and cleaning around sites (trees, shrubs, ruts, etc.) Designated pet area is behind several of the sites and to use you have to go through a persons site. Several open walking areas, including playground, have animal waste throughout, which tells me some owners of pets here are irresponsible. No cable connection, was told it was not repaired since the last hurricane, but antenna reception was fine. Parking areas are full from overflow of guests. No club member discount available at Bayou Shores. Would stay here again if there were no other available RV sites. We camped at Bayou Shores RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Casino rate. A very clean park with nice sites. Wished they were a little wider though, but had room for a slide out. Manager was extremely nice upon our check in. Stayed several days, and would stay again if in the area. Wi-Fi is $5.99 per day, but our Verizon worked excellent. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town (formerly Sam's Town Casino & RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Three nights were not charged because a time share presentation was offered to us. RV park could use mowing. Woman's bathroom was a little dirty but men was not bad.
