Nat-Soo-Pah Hot Springs & Campground, Twin Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Visitors arrive for the swimming, not the camping. The pool is well maintained and is designed for all to have fun. Bring sunscreen as there isn't much shade in the pool area. They allow patrons to bring inflatable tubes and swim noodles. They rent mats ($1) to slide faster on the water slide. A lifeguard is on-duty. Swimming costs $7 per adult, per day and is not included in camping fees. The campground packs campers in tightly. This is an older park that was designed when campers were short and w/o slides. The trees are mature now with plenty of girth and shade. We camped in an area with water and electric only. A sewer dump is conveniently located in the parking lot. On a busy day the line can get lengthy around checkout time when everyone wants to dump prior to departing. Bring cash or checks as they do not accept debit or credit cards. An ATM is available in the office. The office has some food and snacks for their patrons. There is no wifi, however, internet is available with a Jetpack. OTR television offered many stations from nearby Twin Falls. We camped at Nat-Soo-Pah Hot Springs & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Ambassador RV Resort, Caldwell, Idaho

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We were with a group of 11 rigs. We used the clubhouse for our key meals. The kitchen was awesome. Good oven, plenty of electrical outlets for all the Crockpots. The serving counter was huge. Park staff was very accommodating and helpful. They allowed us to use their gas BBQ to cook our meal entrée. Very clean kitchen and clubhouse. Park escorts RVs to their site. Easy to maneuver big rigs in/out of park. Fuel and a restaurant are close by. Trains can be heard in the distance but it is not objectionable. We camped at Ambassador RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Circleville RV Park, Circleville, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived in mid-April, prior to when the park is fully open for business. The owner was extremely helpful and went out of her way to make our stay a good experience. Although the store in the office was not stocked yet, she offered to obtain anything we might need. The park is adjacent to Hwy 89 but we did not find the road noise to be objectionable. Park roads are wide and we found it easy to maneuver our 40' fiver through the park. Park owners have invested in good wifi internet. They have both 2.4 and 5.8 Ghz internet services. I mainly used the 5.8 Ghz wifi and measured the speed at 33 Mbs download and 4.2Mbs upload. Super fast internet for an RV park. The owners are adding two new cabins to the park. The cabins will accommodate travelers w/o an RV. I don't recall a motel in this small town. There are trees in the park, however, they are not fully mature and will provide a lot of shade in the future. We will gladly stay at this quiet park on another trip. We camped at Circleville RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Kofa Ko-Op - Escapees Park (members only), Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at the park for 3 nights. Everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. The park is a few miles out of Yuma but very easy to find. Wifi was reasonably fast. We enjoyed the ice cream social on Sunday evening. We didn't realize we were to bring a bowl and a spoon. A couple of the ladies offered us bowls/spoons for us to use. Park is very clean. Streets are wide. Upon arrival we were escorted to our lot and were assisted in backing our long fifth wheel into our space. Electrical usage fee is in addition to the daily lot rent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will visit again. We camped at Kofa Ko-Op - Escapees Park (members only) in a Fifth Wheel.

Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park, Pendleton, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed during the Pendelton Roundup. Very busy. No discounts during Roundup. Pull-thrus are 60' long. We enjoyed the convenient and prompt shuttle service from the RV park to the casino/entertainment area. Security officers make you feel safe with their constant patrols. I noted at check-in they offer a 10% discount for AAA, AARP, Good Sam & military on non-premium weeks. This is a genuine RV park as we heard railroad train whistles in the distance, although not objectionable. The only negative is it took 30' of sewer hose to connect. Having read the reviews prior to my visit, I was prepared with enough hose. We camped at Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Farewell Bend State Recreation Area, Huntington, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Clean park. Many camp employees driving around all day. Being only 15 miles from Ontario, the park seems remote but is easily accessed from the freeway. As another reviewer mentioned, the park is not big rig friendly. The abundant shrubbery and narrow, winding roads make it difficult to traverse the A or B loops. In our 40' fifth wheel we couldn't fit into an available space. Park staff found an open site on the C loop that we could easily back into. The C loop has 30A electric service, not the 50A of other loops. Directv reception is non-existent whereas Dish Satellite works. The terrain prevents cell (Verizon) reception, but our VZ Jet Pack worked at our site. Being adjacent to the Snake River, fishing for catfish appears abundant. There were many signs in the area asking anglers not to place fish in trash receptacles. Annual Catfish fishing derby is held in the spring. Nearby Huntington (5 miles away) has a nice museum that is open on weekends. We will stay again, however, we will bring plenty of DVDs to watch in the evening. We camped at Farewell Bend State Recreation Area in a Fifth Wheel.

North Ranch - Escapees Rainbow Park, Congress, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived late evening and were very appreciative to have a pull-thru site ($4 extra). I called ahead to reserve a site. Office said they added pull-thru sites a few years ago. We have stayed here in years past as we head to Phoenix area. Park is very friendly and accommodating. Park is somewhat remote but Wickenburg is not far away. Electricity is now included in rate. In years past power was an additional charge. We camped at North Ranch - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

R-Place RV Park, Ash Springs, Nevada

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Good for a no frills overnight stop. No OTA TV or Wifi. Sites are narrow but long to permit tow vehicle and long trailer or MH and towed. Grill in service station has basic fried food. Store/fuel pumps operate 24 hours, grill closes at 8pm. We have stayed here numerous times on our way to Vegas. We camped at R-Place RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Crossroads RV Park, Wells, Nevada

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Park is fairly basic. Sites are very narrow. I had difficulty getting my 5th wheel to fit in the site with the slides out. Bathroom was very clean and warm, as the outside temp was extremely cold. Wifi is good with a speed of 5MB download. Park has 4 long term residents. I was the only overnighter during my visit. Park had a snowfloor and had not been plowed. I had difficulty with traction and had to use kitty litter to get my rig moving to leave. There is a sign posted within the park that the campground is for sale. We camped at Crossroads RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Turkey Creek RV Village - Escapees Rainbow Park, Hollister, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Park and Hollister are convenient access to Branson shows. As other reviewers have mentioned this park does not have a lot of amenities. They do have a clubhouse and a storm shelter. We slept through tornado warning and should have gone to shelter. Staff were helpful with musical show info. Called ticket agent and tickets were delivered to park within a few hours. We are long so they put us into an "access road". Nothing fancy about this park but it is central to Bartlesville. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Hill AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp), Hill AFB, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Park was full when we called for reservation. Clerk made room for us in overflow area. We had to use 75 ft of water hose and power cord to get to pedestal. Only power available was a 15amp outlet until neighbor unhooked and could then use 30 amp service. Office gave us a map of base facilities so we could find commissary, BX, etc. We camped at Hill AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Marshall Ash Village RV Park, Stratton, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Basic park that needs TLC. Trees are overgrown and spaces are narrow. We had to carefully drive amongst the trees in our space to avoid hitting a tree with our rig. Some power pedestals didn't look like they were operational. Had to place satellite dish on end of space to get a view of the sky. Only stayed here because of the value with PA. Adjacent gas station gives a discount if you stay in park and then buy fuel. We camped at Marshall Ash Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
