James Island County Park, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Great stay but without bathrooms. Under renovation which is why the 30% discount. Wonderful park with loads of activities for all. Convenient to downtown Charleston and Folly beach. High Falls State Park, Jackson, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Convenient to I-75 and a great place to stay for overnight while traveling north/south. Stayed here twice in seven day period. Have camped here over fifty nights over the years and it continues to be our "go to" park when we are in the area. Camp hosts and staff are always helpful and friendly. Park has 50 amp service in some arear but most are 30 amp. No sewer hook ups. Beautiful falls and lake. We camped at High Falls State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Unicoi State Park and Lodge, Helen, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

As usual this state park is a delight to visit. Our arear included sewer hook-up which made our packing up really easy. Hosts were most friendly and helpful. We were treated to free "summer" concert on Saturday night at the amphitheater under a full moon. Great musicians and tunes. If you are planning a trip to Helen area this is a must if you can get a reservation. We camped at Unicoi State Park and Lodge in a Fifth Wheel.

Used this for a base to tour Mystic Seaport and surrounding areas. Kudos for all areas but NO sewer hookups. Pump out service for a fee. Clean and mostly open spots. Easy entrance and pull-throughs. Would definitely come back. We camped at Seaport RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Atlantic Oaks Campground, Eastham, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

If you plan on visiting Cape Cod you need to be there after Labor Day and use this campground as your base. Tight but wooded with an exceptionally knowledgeable staff. Situated right on Route 6 so exiting can be tricky in early morning traffic. There is nothing but good things to say here. We now have the lay of the land and will be back. Staff really helpful. Good laundry facilities. Mostly shady sites. We camped at Atlantic Oaks Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Normandy Farms, Foxboro, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $71.00
Overall Rating:

High class resort. Great check-in facilities and beautiful family owned resort. We had a gravel pull-through that was spacious enough. Laundry facilities were commercial grade, clean and very expensive - $3.00 per load to wash and lots of quarter to dry. Probably one of the nicest parks we have stayed at in the Northeast. Lots of rules but that is what keeps it so nice. We camped at Normandy Farms in a Fifth Wheel.

Shore Hills Campground and RV Park, Boothbay, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful heavily wooded back in site was tight but OK. After Labor Day it is quiet so we really had a nice visit. All is as advertised and definitely would stay here again. On main road to Boothbay Harbor which is quaint and friendly. Lots of good eating in the area. We camped at Shore Hills Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Timberland Acres RV Park, Trenton, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Great park for access to Acadia National Park. Sites are spacious in open grassy area. Interior roads are rough but serviceable. Large area of long term units separated from transients. We were there over weekend when craft fair was going on inside park. Located on main road down to Bar Harbor so it can be a little testy getting out. Wonderful area - so much we wished we had stayed longer. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Harding's Point Campground, Harding's Point, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Only one of two campgrounds in St. John area. This one requires transit via ferry to get there. Ferry ramp drops down 50 yards from entrance to park. Teenage staff speaks for itself but we were escorted to our site, which was up on top of very steep mountain. Gravel road made transit up extremely stressful. Once there it was wide open and extremely tight. Stayed two nights and had enough of tight quarters. Challenge to get out - back down steep gravel road, lots of gravel thrown as we were sliding down down. We camped at Harding's Point Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Bayside RV Campground, Oyster Bed Bridge, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Not fancy but a great centrally located campground right off the Bay. All grassy open sites with a few trees. A few long term units but plenty of wide open spaces. Extremely windy while we were there the last week of August - 40/50 MPH. Everyone including staff friendly and anxious to help with directions and tourist information. Near Anne of Green Gables and close to Charlottetown. All of PEI is laid back by US standards. The park is older and the electrical seemed weak but we survived and thoroughly enjoyed our stay and PEI. Wife liked laundry facilities. We camped at Bayside RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground, Baddeck, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Beddeck area is one of Nova Scotia's secrets. Entrance to Cabbot Trail which is in itself worth the entire visit. Campground is old KOA but well kept with lots of things for the family. We are seniors so we concentrated on the beauty of the area and the village of Beddeck. Access is easy from main highway and all services were as advertised. Definitely would stay again. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Scotia Pines Campground, Brookfield, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

We came to the area for access to the Bay of Fundy and the Tides. Easy access from Canadian Express road. Close to town but in the country. Lots of long term but transient area is in the pines, hence the name. Spent three nights in pull-through site. Staff helpful with directions and suggestions for the area. Tidal fluctuations were amazing. We camped at Scotia Pines Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Belle Baie Park, Church Point, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Took the overnight ferry from Portland, ME. Spent first three night here and loved it. Campsite was a back in on the bay with beautiful vistas. Mostly long term units but most of transient spots on or near the bay. Had problem with electric service but it was repaired within four hours. The Acadian shore area is rich in history and beautiful. Campground is family owned since forever and they are most helpful. Can't say enough good about the area. Not fancy but a great stop. We camped at Belle Baie Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Moosemeadow Camping Resort, Willington, Connecticut

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Way off the Interstate transiting hilly, curvy and narrow roads. We stayed hooked up in a back in spot in upper field. Nice country setting. Even though quite a ways from interstate we will stay again if in the area. Moose motif is fun for the kids. We camped at Moosemeadow Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.
