Bushman's Camp, Bullard, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice safe, well maintained park. Unusual check in entrance, but a great example of good planning, and customer service. Check in, shown to site, and assistance in locating their jack supports (no pads, concrete tire strips/grass). Very unusual, but a very nice effect eliminating excessive concrete. Concrete streets very accessible with easy turning radius.

On second and third days we experienced electrical problems on a very hot dry 100+ day. The young lady in charge said she checked their pedestal breakers, and main breakers. After I spent some extensive time researching electric circuits on our coach I determined the problem was the parks. I checked the main park panels myself and found them tripped ????. Other than that a very nice well maintained park. We will stay here again. We camped at Bushman's Camp in a Motorhome.

Somewhere RV Park, Mineola, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We intended staying here for three plus days. Day one, upon arriving we were the only ones in the short stay area. Obviously just mowed overgrown pasture-like grounds. Pads were weed/grass with hardly no gravel visible. While hooking up, ants by thousands started crawling up elec/sewer lines and tires. Coach invaded. We went to Walmart and spent $30.00 plus on insecticides. Sticker briers by thousands. Ruined a pair of new clogs embedded in soles and my feet. Water hookup underground in hole full of ants. Never seen a water hookup under ground, usually a riser. Train noise all day and night. Next to highways with lots of traffic very noisy. Lots of full timers in another area.

Only thing nice was the hosts. We left the next morning. Hosts refunded payment. Maybe sometime had been a nice park, but not now. Would not recommend. We camped at Somewhere RV Park in a .

Tulsa NE / Will Rogers Downs KOA, Claremore, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Rained was very muddy. Club house had no hot water, no kitchen sink, stove etc. Was not shown to site. Staff lady was friendly. Club house very dirty. NO LIGHTING AT NIGHT! Not a very secure area. Lots of traffic late at night. Very dusty before rain. No shade. I dont know how this qualified for a KOA Park. Very low end. Lots of unattended RV's. Obviously gamblers at casino, and horse racing fans. Lots of junk piled outside of the full timers trailers. Very low end, unclassy area. Police going thru camp at night chasing someone. NOT A FAMILY SAFE PLACE !! Would recommend KOA to pull sanction of this place. We camped at Tulsa NE / Will Rogers Downs KOA in a Motorhome.

Cedar Oaks RV Resort, Grove, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Have camped here before.. Facility just OK (old) unpaved, dusty. Showers etc old, but functional.. No cable. Wi-Fi weak. Had reservations made in person 1 1/2 weeks before which they did not honor. Obviously not in the clique that they have during music fest. Staff curt, and non customer orientated.. Observed empty spaces that they said they did not have when we went to go to another facility.. Will not use this facility again. We camped at Cedar Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Honey Creek State Park, Grove, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. Very clean and quiet. We were in a motorhome.. Would have gave a 10, but no sewer hookups. Park staff helpful. All roads paved. Lots of 30A hookups, very few 50A. Pads reasonably level. Off the path but worth it. Some low hanging trees coming too park from main road in town (State Park Rd.). They have after hour checkin, via deposit envelope into park pay box. Basically serve yourself park. Find a spot then deposit envelope within one hour of parking. Restrooms very nice. Grounds very well cared for. We camped at Honey Creek State Park in a Motorhome.
