Countryside RV Park, LLC, Dillon, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We liked this park a lot! It doesn't seem like much when you first look at it maybe, but has a lot to offer. The staff is very friendly and obviously cares about guests - they had lots of suggestions about best restaurants, attractions, and etc. in the area. It is handy to interstate and town but very quiet and peaceful. Sites are a decent size (even for a 45-footer with slide outs) so you're not on top of your neighbor. We really enjoyed the community fire pit - wood provided! Added plus was the on-site RV washing service - did a fabulous job at a terrific price. The rig hasn't looked that good since we bought it! Only downside was the WiFi - sometimes it worked great and sometimes not at all. We found that frustrating, as we work on the road. We will definitely make a point of staying here again when we're in the area. The rate reflects a Good Sam discount. We camped at Countryside RV Park, LLC in a Motorhome.

Pony Express RV Resort, North Salt Lake, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Gated resort is very clean, well-kept, handy to the interstate and visits to SLC. A little highway noise at night, but you only heard it outside or with the windows open. Sites are very close together, but I guess that's to be expected in an urban area. The Exec level sites were a little roomier for a slightly higher rate. Rate given reflects Good Sam discount. As others have said, Wi-Fi was not useful (would have upped rating to 8 if it were). No fire rings: a must for us! We did appreciate management being okay with our portable firepit on our site and promptly responding to our concern about an annoying yippy dog in the camper next to us. We will probably stay here again if we're in the area. We camped at Pony Express RV Resort in a Motorhome.

St. Mary / East Glacier KOA, St Mary, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

The views from this park are breathtaking - and if you are there on a clear night, be sure and check out the stars! Another plus was the staff - our reservation got messed up online, but they worked hard at getting us a site that would work. We ended up cutting our visit short, however, because we couldn't get any cell service (AT&T or T-Mobile, although apparently Verizon works OK) and the Wi-Fi wasn't useful. Also, the water pressure was very poor and the sites very narrow. If you don't mind being completely cut off from communications, or if you have Verizon cell and air card, it would be a nice place to stay. We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

Stoney Creek RV Resort, Osseo, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We unfortunately only stayed here one night, but it seemed like a nice place to stay longer. The sites were large, clean, nice grass and had trees, but not inconvenient for slide outs etc. Pool facilities looked clean and very nice. Close to interstate but didn't hear it at all. Would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Stoney Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Aspen Grove Campground, Oak Lake, Manitoba

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We are writing this review to warn those of you who need 50-amp service that it is NOT available at this campground, as previous reviews have stated. And it may be fine for some large rigs, but wasn't appropriate for our 45-ft motorhome. To make matters worse, the ground was soft, and we got stuck while trying to squeeze into our site. All of that would merit an even lower score, but the other campers were terrific - they were extremely helpful and got us out of the mud! If you have a smaller motorhome and don't need 50-amp service, it would probably be a nice place to stay. Admin Note: 50 amp available in 2014. We camped at Aspen Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

Ross Creek RV Park, Medicine Hat, Alberta

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

OK park for an overnight if you don't mind being very close to both the TransCanada Highway and the train track (trains run until at least 1 am and stink if you have the windows open!). Sites were fairly narrow. We stayed at this park because it was one of the only ones we could find in the area that has 50-amp service, but they told us we weren't allowed to do laundry. Not great, since we had to dry camp for almost a week previous. On the plus side, the Wi-Fi worked well. We camped at Ross Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.
