Older park with uneven sites. I thought we asked for 50amp water/elec only, but ended up in a pull through with 30amps. Also didn't get water because the guy who pulled in next to us used our water spigot after we unhooked and went to refuel. Oh well, that's why we carry extra water. Definitely won't stay there again, will drive a little farther if we go that direction again.

Beautiful views in a new RV Park. Easy access from interstate. Owners live onsite in their own 5th wheel. Will definitely stop in there again when we can stay longer than just overnight.

Great campground for camping clubs or locals, but not for overnighters. It's much farther off the road than we anticipated. Our GPS took us to the wrong exit. We asked for a pull through and ended up having to back into the site because the road was blocked by the truck loading canoes. Otherwise, we had good power and water pressure, nice neighbors and left a different way through farmland instead of going through town that we came.

Date of Stay:

Mostly pull-through sites, easy access from I-10, quiet even so close to Interstate, good location for overnights. Access to fuel which is just outside of the entrance of the RV Park. So much easier when you are towing a 38' 5th wheel. If you like Casino's and the nearby restaurant, they give you coupons for both upon arrival. And if you buy fuel, another discount coupon to eat out. We didn't use any coupons, but might on a return trip.

Easy access, all pull-through sites, fuel and food within walking distance. We experienced a tire failure and were able to get it replaced shortly after we pulled into our site. Would definitely stay again, especially if we were staying longer than overnight.

Some sites are better than others. Nice mix of long-term and weekend travelers. Small store in the office, and managers live in the park. Close to all the missions, including The Alamo. Right on the San Antonio River, and the biking/walking trail opened just as we were leaving in July. We stayed for 5 mos while working in the area. Definitely one of the cleanest parks on the south side of SA.

Price reflects a Seasonal Rate. We spent 6 months at this CG. We arrived before the official opening date. Owners were very accommodating, even upgraded our electric to 50amps for us. Lake views are quite good, but higher priced. Our site had a nice view of the pond. Great place for RVers and boaters who like fishing for Walleye. They added WiFi and have a new security gate this year. We also liked that the owners live onsite and can watch over the RV's while we were away on daytrips to Niagara Falls and Football Hall of Fame.

Nice new open park for satellite dome reception plus large spaces for long RV's like ours. Many are pull throughs for over nighters. There's also plenty of grass that is kept mowed. Good power and water pressure, too. We are here for a few months and expect to see some glorious colors surrounding the campground this Fall.

We stayed in Extended Section during Spring and part of Summer. Busy campground almost every weekend during high season. Nice river views, clean pool, some supplies available in office. Wal-Mart also nearby. Neg: Office hours posted weren't accurate. Some sites small and too many vehicles were in roadway. But overall, we enjoyed our stay and would go back again.

We stayed over 3 mos while working in the area. Community is making the transition quite well. Close to Wal-Mart in Fairfield and new grocery in Hueytown. We liked the price, large sites, concrete pads and being in the open. Grass is kept mowed. RV Park is surrounded by trees and sits back off the road, so we didn't experience road noise. We will definitely return if we come back in the area.

Easy on and off for a quick overnight stay. Plus access to gas stations nearby. Site was level enough on our pull-through that we didn't even need to unhook our 5th wheel from the truck. A whole new section of 50 amp sites are being added.

Road into park was quite narrow, but there were large MH's as well as small TT's. We stayed in the older section with mostly seasonals and extended sites. Sites are well kept and have concrete pads. People were very friendly and helpful including the owners who live on site. Park is in a beautiful farmland setting. We were there while working in area, so paid a lower monthly rate.

I don't quite understand those who complain about turning off the water during cold weather. Most experienced RVer's carry water in their fresh tank for emergencies. Candy Hill has a Store with most of the items you would need for an RV. We needed to use our longer hose and it saved us a trip across the street or across town to Home Depot. They had everything we needed to insulate the hose. We stayed nearly a month. Great quiet park, close to new Wal-Mart and any other services we needed. Bathrooms were always warm and toasty. We found the owners and workers always professional and very helpful. We felt safe and enjoyed our stay. Will definitely return whenever we are in the area.

Great park located close to DC. Park staff helpful and always making upgrades. Public transportation comes into park for easy access. Two very clean pools with lifeguards. Onsite RV and grocery store and Mobile RV tech and propane refills come to your site. We stayed 4 months and enjoyed every minute.

Very disappointing, office is nice and clean so we assumed everything else was newer and well maintained, but it isn't. We tried to stay long-term but left during the first few days. There are only 3-50 amp sites in the whole campground. Only 30 amp sites are in extended stay area. Some of the roads aren't very well maintained. We don't think we would stay again.
